Quick Trip To Grapevine

Friday we met Heather in Nacogdoches to pick up Noah who had been at his dad's and we headed north to Grapevine. We just hung out that evening and Blake grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and I loved on Miss Maddie.

Maddie likes watermelon! I am sure it was nice and cold on her swollen gums. It feels like she will have a front tooth very soon!
I have no idea!
I think Emory was posing and Noah's planes were coming in for a landing.
It did not take Cason long to find Noah's collection of trucks.
Three cousin's in the tub!

Saturday morning we headed to NRH2O which is a water park near Cameron's. Three of the four all ready to go! Cason was not in the mood for a picture and Maddie did not like the flash!

Emory loved the water park. She had a blast and went non-stop until we left about 2:30.

Cason had a blast too! He fell in love with one little water slide and slid down over and over again!
Maddie enjoyed herself too. She loves the water and watching people. She got all tuckered out and took a nice little nap in her stroller.
Cason thought a nap was a good idea too!

I did not get a picture of Noah because he and his friend Stephen stayed busy pretty much the whole time we were there. They enjoyed the "big kid" slides and wave pool! We had a good time and visit! Thanks for having us Blake and Cameron!

Out Of The Mouths Of Babes

Emory and Cason are always saying something sweet, silly, or just down right funny so I thought I would document a few of their recent sayings!

Emory Grace

Me: How do you want to wear your hair today?
Emory: Like a genius

Bradley: Emory it is time to come in and get cleaned up.
Emory: I can't come in I'm worshiping God.

Emory asked for a napkin and after I handed her one she exclaims, "Super Mom to the rescue!"

Cason Bradley

As we are driving by McDonalds....
Cason: Mommy, I see French fry house.

Cason calls Sonic "hotdog" because he loves their hotdogs!

Apparently Emory's love for Chili's has rubbed off on Cason because every time we drive by Cason yells, "CHILI'S, I see Chili's!"

Say Cheese

Emory has asked me to take her picture all weekend and her poses just crack me up !
This is a serious pose apparently but Cason did not get the memo!
She wanted to take her picture with Pocahontas and her horse and dog.
Then she insisted I take a picture of Pocahontas and her animals.
She also wanted her picture taken at Sonic
and Hobby Lobby
and Friday night while eating at Butcher Boys!

She is such a mess!

First Swim of Summer

Sunday afternoon we broke out our new pool. Sadly our old pool did not survive the winter so the kids and I went and picked out a new one Saturday. They both loved it although Cason got mad because he wanted to swim naked and I would not let him, so he pouted for a while outside of the pool. There will be no poo in this pool and Cason usually tells me is going about the same time he goes!
Emory patiently waiting for the pool to fill and Cason pouting.
Cason finally quit pouting and decided to take the buckets for a spin in the dump truck. I never did get his swimsuit on but after the fight I endured getting on his little swimmer diaper I did not care.
We also bought this little boat Saturday. Emory loved it!
Cason later decided to give the pool a whirl and had a great time.
Emory relaxing in the boat and Cason playing with the buckets.
After swimming it was time for a popsicle. Cole stayed close by eagerly waiting on the spills! The kids had a great time swimming. We got out just in time because has soon as we got cleaned up it started pouring outside. A storm popped out of nowhere and dropped a little over an inch of rain!

Toddler Bed

Cason has been showing an interest in wanting a big bed like Emory's so we took off his front rail today. Emory starting climbing out of her crib at barely one, but Cason has stayed put since lowering his mattress so we just kept him in his crib.
He "helped" Bradley take down the rail with his tools and then tested out his new bed. He likes it! He has been asleep for about two hours now and so far we have had zero problems. I tucked him in tonight like always and he has stayed put! I am a little worried that he may fall out because he moves around a lot when sleeps, but hopefully he will stay put. Emory helped out too. She made Cason's bed for him and then showed him how to make it. She was very excited for him!

Blueberry Festival 2013

This morning we took the kids to the Blueberry Festival downtown. The kids had a great time and got to do many fun things. We rode horses, visited a petting zoo, bounced in the bounce house, rode trains, played on water slides, and won a pink dolphin. I was able to capture a few memories from our fun morning with my phone!
Cason found a fire truck. He loves fire trucks and was thrilled that he got to sit on one!

Being silly on the fire truck!
Emory of course HAD to ride! She told the lady helping her ALL about her horse Yeller!
Cason in the bounce house!

Emory sliding down the water slide. She was not a fan of it because she landed in a pool of water and went under. I think it just took her by surprise.
Emory showing me the pink dolphin she won!
Cason and I rode the little train.
He liked it a lot and choo chooed and waved to everyone.
Emory on the slip n slide. She liked this one!
Cason jumped so high he fell down!
Yum blueberry pancakes!
All tuckered out and on our way to McD's for a treat!
We had a great time making memories at the blueberry festival this year!

The Big Dig

Yesterday evening the kids helped Mimi and Peepaw dig up their potatoes. Emory had been eagerly and semi-patiently waiting to dig potatoes all day. She loves to find potatoes. We dug ours up earlier this week and had some for dinner last night. I love new potatoes fresh from the garden, they were delicious!
They kids had a blast digging and found tons of potatoes!
Cason and Emory with some of their finds!
Emory also picked a couple of carrots.
After digging they cooled and cleaned off by playing in the water hose.
Here is a picture of some of the pumpkin plants I have growing in the yard. They are a result from our pumpkin carving last fall. We can't grow grass in this particular spot, but pumpkin you bet! We are going to try and replant  them in the garden so the kids can see how pumpkins grow.

Little Miss Technology

Yesterday afternoon I walked into living room and found Emory like this. She was busy making ice cream cookies, popsicles, and cakes on the iPad. She loves shopping at the "iStore" as she calls it and playing games.
