First Day of School

Last Tuesday was the first day of school! 

Eli is in FIRST grade this year and his teacher is Mrs. Chapman. Mrs. Chapman told me Friday at the soccer game that she wants to kidnap him for a couple of days because she just loves his personality and stories. 

Cason is in 6th grade this year and his teachers are Mrs. Austin, Mrs. McMorries, and Mrs. Sowell. 

This is what I got when I asked for a real smile! 

Emory is in 8th grade this year. Her teachers are Mrs. Beauregard, Ms. Burklin, Mrs. Sowell, Mrs. McLemore, Mr. Eggleston, Mr. Brewer, & Mrs. Lasater. 

She wasn't a huge fan of holding up 8 fingers. 

Meet Bo

Yesterday we got a border collie puppy to add to our craziness. Meet Bo. He has the sweetest blue eyes and so far has been very good and super sweet. Lucy and Gerti gave me a what were you thinking look when we brought him home, but so far they all are getting along, even though Lucy has had her moments of annoyance. 

 

FBC First Grade Breakfast

Yesterday at church Eli had his first grade breakfast and received his Bible from Melanie. He was super excited to get his Bible and had a new Bible cover in the Amazon cart before church even started. Big kids hall here he comes!

The first week of June we had VBS at church.

Eli really wants a 6 pack, so Emory drew him one! 

We spent a lot of time at the pool!

We had a great summer, but I believe everyone is ready to go back to school!!

Red, White, & Moo

The first weekend in July we spent the day at the Red, White, & Moo show. Emory and Cason each showed their county steers, Jack and Johnny, who both did well for their first time in a ring. 

Johnny was not a fan of waking up early and took a nap just as soon as he was done! 

Emory showed Ellie for the first time too and they had a great show, winning Reserve Champion Shorthorn Heifer in both rings.

Houston Museum of Natural Science

 We spent our last day of vacation at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. We were able to see the Ramses The Great exhibit before it left the museum and it was great.   

The dinosaurs were a hit with Eli!
