Cousins

Emory, Cason and I headed to my parents on Saturday to meet Miss Madison for the first time and visit with Cameron and Noah since we did not get to see them at Christmas. Last night we gathered all the grandkids together and attempted to take their picture. It actually went fairly good considering the ages of those involved!
Emory wanted to hold the dog in this one and Cason was not in a mood to smile, but other than that it turned out pretty good!

Cason loving on Emory and Noah on Madison!
I had to include this picture because the 5th grandchild is in it. For those wondering that would be Dot!

21 Months

Cason Bradley you are 21 months old today!
You are still wearing a size 18 month, a size 6 shoe, and size 5 diaper. Your vocabulary has grown by leaps and bounds and you now know to many words to list. You have started stringing words together and making sentences. Some of your favorites are shoe on/off, sock on/off, no no sissy, and that's mine. You have also decided that you do not like to wear socks or shoes and usually always take them off within 30 seconds of putting you in your car seat.
You are an absolute delight. You have a very sweet loving personality, but are also very determined and strong willed. The other night you told me you wanted cheese and when I did not go and get it for you fast enough, you marched over to the fridge, opened the door and drawer and got it out yourself. Then proceeded to bring Bradley the bag of cheese and said "cheese dada cheese." You are also a little clown!
You love ducks, playing outside and with your sister. You have started showing an interest in cartoons and seem to like Wonder Pets and Dora or at least the song at the end of the show. You love to sing and dance. You are also very inquisitive and want to know what everything is. I can't believe you will be 2 in just a few short months, it seems like only yesterday you were my little baby and now you are a little boy. I love you Cason!

And They're Off

Emory was finally able to drive her Barbie jeep yesterday afternoon. It was cold outside so they were not able to ride long, but they still had a blast!

Christmas 2012

Christmas started off with a bang this year, literally. The storm hit us around 3:45 am with horrible lighting and thunder. Emory was in bed with us and wrapped up tight in my arms by 4:00 am. Thankfully we did not have any damage or lose electricity... oh and Santa was able to come too!
Santa left Emory a Barbie jeep, super hero cape, tennis racket with Dora tennis balls, movies, games, and lots of goodies in her stocking. Cason got a workbench, balls, flashlight, movies, construction site complete with remote control dump truck, as well as stocking goodies!
Emory seeing what Santa left her for the first time!
The kids checking out Cason's workbench!
The jeep was a huge hit!
After checking out all their gifts from Santa it was time to open presents. We had a wonderful morning exchanging gifts and I got many great things from Bradley! After presents it was time to get things ready for lunch. I snapped these pictures before the table was completely set and then forgot to take anymore.
I finally found a Christmas china pattern that I liked last year and then found it on sale this fall.
Tina and Rachel got me these napkin rings this year for Christmas.
My grandmother, aunt, mom and dad all joined us for Christmas this year. I completely forgot to take any pictures before lunch but did manage to snap a few of the kids opening and playing with their presents from everyone.
Cason figured out the whole wrapping thing! He got a t-ball set and loved it!
My grandmother and aunt got Emory this new outfit and a Dot for her baby. As soon as she opened it she had to change her baby's clothes.
Emory playing with her gymnastic Dora in her princess dress.
Gymnastics's Dora is really pretty cool. She flips, does hand stands, and all sorts of other things. Emory has enjoyed playing with her. Thank you Grandma and Pawpaw!

Last night it snowed!
It did not stick but we enjoyed watching it snow on Christmas.
Emory and I went outside and watched it snow for a few minutes. She really liked it!
I had to include this picture of Cason and all his ducks! I mentioned that Cason loves ducks and Aunt Shirley and Grandma came through with lots of rubber ducks!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year and I am very blessed and thankful for everything and everyone who shared it with us!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve day we just hung out around the house. That evening we went to church for the candle light Christmas Eve service. Before leaving for church we tried to take a few pictures. We have not been to church in a few weeks because of a nasty flu bug that invaded our house so needless to say I have zero pictures of the kids dressed up. Pictures did not go well, but I did not manage to get one or two decent ones and at least capture the moment!
Christmas Eve 2012
Cason was in a mood and did not want to take pictures.
We tried with Daddy.
And then with Mommy.
This was his way of telling me he was NOT taking a picture without having to remove his best friend from his mouth!
Emory sitting on one of Bradley's big presents, this was cooler then sitting in front of the Christmas tree!
Don't judge the two tone wrap job. I ran out of paper half way through and was not starting over!
Cason finally decided to look at the camera after we got home from church.
After dinner and baths it was time for the kids to open their presents from each other.
Cason got Emory a Barbie (AKA Garbie) movie and a mermaid doll!
Emory picked out a blue umbrella with green tractors on it and a Lego farm set for Cason. She picked out his presents all by herself and even helped me wrap them!
After opening presents we played a little and then the kids went to bed so Santa could come!

Happy Christmas Eve Eve

This evening we went and checked out "Santa's old sleigh" that is now in our downtown. While the kids played on the sleigh I attempted to get a few pictures and Bradley attempted to make them laugh and look my direction. Easier said then done!
Happy Christmas Eve Eve!

Christmas Cookies

We made Christmas cookies today!
The kids practiced with their playdough while I got the dough ready.
Then it was time to get to work. Emory chose to make snowman, Christmas tree, reindeer, and star cookies. She did a fantastic job using the cookie cutters.
Baked and ready for icing.
Cason oversaw the operation while building towers with the cookie cutters!
After naps it was time to decorate the cookies.
One of Emory's masterpieces.
The cookies all decorated and ready to eat!
