Happy Birthday Eli

Eli Grant, you are 4 years old today! 

You are sweet, silly and stubborn to the core. You love snuggles, popcorn, dirt, and riding your scooter.  You wake up and immediately ask what are we going to do today, and follow it with 4,999 more questions throughout the day. You have a big imagination and great memory. You love going to the Women's Shelter Thrift store and looking around. You are not much of a television watcher, but will watch Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, and Puppy Dog Pals for a little bit at a time. Usually you play with your Lego's while watching. You are still a great eater and not so great sleeper. You talk a lot during your sleep which wakes you up. 

You wanted a Paw Patrol birthday cake, but because we are in the middle of a pandemic and quarantine we had to make do with what we had on hand.  You loved how it turned out and helped with the sprinkles!!

Cobb Steer Show

Like everything else in this country, the Nacogdoches County Steer Show was canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Since Emory wasn't able to show Redd, we took a few pictures of her and Redd over the weekend.

Happy 9th birthday Cason

Saturday we celebrated Cason's 9th birthday. He has been pretty upset that the Coronavirus pandemic has prevented him from doing anything for his birthday. No big party, no birthday dinner out, so we tried to make it as fun as possible for him. 

Everything is better with two birthday cakes.....right? 

Cason couldn't decide between the cinnamon cake he loves or a traditional cake, so I made two! 

Blowing out his candles. He picked blue icing and the can I had on hand included fish sprinkles, so we went with an ocean themed cake, complete with Air Head seagulls! 

I didn't get a better picture of the cakes or of him opening presents. He had a great day, complete with texts messages from family, friends, and his favorite dinner of red beans and rice!!

Just a few things that happened in February. 

Cason started a petition at school. He was trying to stop Wednesday uniforms.

Emory showed Redd at a prospect show in Jacksonville. Redd behaved himself in the ring and they got 3rd in the class. 

It rained tons this month. 

We celebrated Bradley's birthday. Cason and Emory each made sign. Emory's is above and Cason's below. 

The kids begged for this at Lowes.  They didn't win, Daddy said no. 

Cason started a bookstore. He sold two books before his teacher shut down his business.

Cason also decided to start writing A.D. after the date on all his papers, just to make sure no one gets confused.
