10 Months Old

Eli Grant you are 10 months old today!
You are still wearing 9 and 12 month clothes and a size 4 diaper. You have 6 teeth with two more on the way. You are an excellent eater and enjoy food! Your favorites are peas, sweet corn, green beans, apples, pears, blueberries and oatmeal!!
You are quite the little talker these days. You can say mama, dada, baba, uh oh, hi, and a bunch of other things that we aren't quite sure what they mean. The other day your big sister and brother were arguing and you let them know real quick that you didn't like it by giving them quite the scolding, which made them laugh!
You are always on the move and getting into everything. You have finally decided that crawling on all fours isn't that bad and have started crawling more but you still sometimes prefer the army crawl. You are walking and standing with assistance. This past week you have really started to let go when standing and have managed to stay up unassisted for a few seconds. You are a strong little boy!
You love doors, drawers and anything that moves. You are quite the little explorer and venture into other rooms. You usually wake up once during the night and take one nap during the day.
You are a little giggle box and are always smiling. You are really starting to understand things and already know what no and sugars mean. You love giving out sugars! You are such a sweet little thing! We love you very much Eli!

Emory's Birthday Bash

This year we celebrated Emory's birthday with a small family party. Emory asked for Subway sandwiches and chips so that is what we ate for lunch.
She picked out and designed her cake/cupcake combo herself. She went with pink camo and purple tiara's of course! She also oversaw the placement of the candles.
Opening presents.
She loved the bacon card Cason picked out for her.
Eli had fun at the party!
Cason had a great time too!
Cason gave Emory crutches and a cast for her American girl doll. She LOVED them. I think it won the prize as her favorite gift!

Happy 8th Birthday

Happy 8th Birthday Emory Grace!!
It seems like just yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital and today you turned eight. Where has the time gone! You have grown into a sweet, smart, silly, and slightly dramatic young girl (you would have a cow if I wrote little girl). You love the outdoors, animals, drawing, and playing games. You are very driven and a hard worker, but sometimes your drive causes you to be to hard on yourself. You are a great big sister and love your brothers even when they are driving you crazy. Your favorite phrases right now are Seriously and Geez Louise. You still love stick together mac-n-cheese. Other favorites include roast with rice and gravy, brisket, ribs, and baked potatoes. Your favorite television shows are Full House and The Thundermans.
Happy Birthday sweet girl, Mommy and Daddy love you!

2nd Quarter Report Cards

Emory and Cason brought home their report cards on Friday. They both continue to do well in school.
I got tickled where Emory's teacher noted under the Math comments that she loves to be a leader!
Cason continues to be a helper at school. He has started to learn to read and is doing great! He is all about spelling words these days.

9 Month Check-Up

Eli had his 9 month check-up yesterday, which ended up being a sick baby appointment as well. He has had a nasty stomach bug all week. He weighed 19.2 lbs (46 %) and is 28 3/4 inches (64 %). He didn't really gain any weight since his weight check at 7 months but Moriah feels that is due to his having been sick. He hasn't kept much in or eaten much this week. We started a probiotic yesterday so hopefully he will start to feel better soon. Other then the bug he had a great check-up. Moriah feels he will have 4 new teeth soon, then maybe we can get a little break from all the drool. Despite being sick Eli learned to walk holding on to something this week. He now thinks he is a speed racer! He walked across our bedroom and into the bathroom yesterday pushing the little car.
He thinks he's BIG STUFF!!
