My Little Helper

This evening I walked into Emory's room and found this.
Then I walked into Cason's room and this was laid out on the floor.
The diaper tucked into the pants just cracks me up!
Emory had been busy. She came home this afternoon and decided to get her and Cason's pajama's laid out so they would be ready to go after their baths. She did a very good job and put everything in the right place....literally. She is so funny!

Weekend Sayings and Doings

With a 2 and 4 year old there is never a dull moment in our house. Like last night during dinner when Emory shouted out "I ate the bones, I ate the bones" For those that are wondering what in the world, that would be the saying from the new KFC boneless chicken commercial that Emory thinks is hilarious. We were having grilled chicken for dinner so naturally Emory decided to quote the KFC commercial. Cason chimed in next and before we knew it they were both on an I ate the bones silliness spree! Emory then decided that she wanted to change her name to Caroline because she likes it. When I suggested she change her baby's name to Caroline (whose name is currently Pocahontas) she decided that she was going to change my name to Caroline.  Like I said never a dull moment!

We have had a fun weekend which included playdough. Cason built a tower with the containers and Emory made playdough cookies.
Emory also showed off her muscles which she says have grown super big because she eats her veggies all gone.
Afterwards Emory decided she was going to be the tooth fairy and dressed accordingly.
Giving me her best tooth fairy pose.
She deemed Cason the tooth fairy assistant, hence the tutu, however he was more interested in fixing the bed. He loves his tools and is always fixing something around the house.
Did you know that the tooth fairy gets around by means of a scooter? I did not know either until Emory informed me that is how the tooth fairy travels to pick up kids teeth to sale in her store!
Store, you asked. Well apparently the tooth fairy has a store where she sales baby teeth to babies and big kid teeth to big kids. You are suppose to use the money she leaves you to buy the teeth. I love her imagination!

In other news we enrolled Emory in school Friday. She will be starting Pre-K next year at Regents Academy. She is super excited and was able to tour the school and meet her teacher, Mrs. Duke. She has been wanting to go to school all year and can't wait to start! She was also pretty impressed with the park (playground)!

Sissy & Buddy

Emory and Cason are close. She is his Sissy and he her Buddy. They do everything together; eat, play, fight, and get into trouble. They are two peas in a pod!
They also love working together and are getting better at sharing. I am so thankful they get along so well and are such good friends. I hope they always will be!

Emory's Shorter Do

After much discussion Emory has "decided" not to grow her hair long like Rapunzel so today instead of a trim she got 5 inches cut off. Emory will tell you 4.5 because that is how many inches she wanted cut...not 4 not 5, but 4.5. Tonight I asked to take one picture of her new hair do and this is what I got.
When I asked to take another one because the first one was silly, Emory replied "Mom you said one you didn't say one good one." I will be sure and be specific next time!

Spring Gardening

Yesterday after dinner we headed to Lowe's to buy veggies for the garden and a few flowers. I told Emory she could pick out one container of flowers to plant and she chose pink petunia's. She also found a pink flower pot and of course loved and wanted it. This morning after breakfast we all headed outside to work in the flowerbeds, flowerpots and garden.
Emory planting her flowers.
Smelling them after they were planted.
She is very proud of her flowers and her pink pot!
We also planted geraniums and begonia's.
Bradley worked in the garden and Cason mowed. He loves his new mower. I hope his enthusiasm to push a mower is the same when he is 15! We added tomatoes, peppers, onions, and green beans to the garden as well as cleaned out all the flowerbeds. It was a very fun and productive morning!

2 Year Check-up

My little cowboy had his 2 year check-up today.
He weighs 27.2 lbs (55th percentile) and is 35.5 inches tall (77th percentile). He was a brave little boy when they drew his blood for lead and iron testing. He also had to get a shot which he was not happy about, thankfully it was the last one until he turns 4.
I am afraid he may have inherited my ears because he has another double ear infection. He was showing zero signs of an ear infection and does not appear to be in any pain which I am thankful for. Hopefully he will not follow in my footsteps and have to get tubes.
My little charmer talked Dr. Huggins ear off and passed his hearing test! His iron test came back in the normal range and he got a clean bill of health which I am very thankful for!
Cason and his first crush, DOERA (Dora)
I love how he held her hand, too sweet!
Cowboy Cason and his new hat! Thanks again Grandma and Pawpaw!
