Cool Cat

CHEESE!!!
TOO COOL FOR WORDS

Big Machine Birthday Party

Cason's birthday fell on a Saturday this year so Saturday we celebrated with a party at home. Emory made him a birthday sign Friday night and surprised him with it Saturday morning. He loved it!
Cason wanted excavators, dump trucks, tractors and backhoes at his party! So that is what he had.
He picked everything out himself...even the plate colors!
We even managed to find a balloon that fit the theme! He was SUPER excited.
 Table number 2
Cason wanted to take a picture with his balloons.
 Cason's birthday cake.
It was supposed to have brown icing but Cason does not like chocolate and I wasn't able to convince him that white icing dyed brown is not chocolate. He insisted on green so that is what we did. The dirt is crushed Oreo's which Emory and I had fun crushing Friday night! I think it still turned out cute and he loved it which is all that matters!
After Grandmaw and Pawpaw got to our house, Cason was able to get his first birthday present. He is all SMILES because....
this is what he saw. His very own JOHN DEERE TRACTOR!
 He LOVES it!
 He rode and rode......
 and rode all day!
Bradley and I got him the little cart that goes with it. He has been hauling everything and anything all weekend in his cart.
Cason chose to have tacos and all the fixin's for lunch. After lunch and quick trip to see the horses, because Maddie LOVES horses and Emory and Cason wanted to show her the horses, it was time to open presents. Cason insisted on me taking his picture with his presents.
He got a Red Ryder BB gun. He was super excited!
His friend Cooper got one for his birthday a few weeks ago and he has been talking about it ever since.
Emory picked out this remote control excavator for him. She was proud of herself for getting it for him!
Mimi & Pawpaw got him this "cool big truck and tractor" as Cason calls it. He has played and played with it.
Cason putting his new chainsaw to work. As soon as he was done opening presents he headed out to cut down a tree.
 Hard at work.
Cason picked out these dump truck candles.
Blowing out his candles!
Surprise it's blue! Cason picked out a blue cake. Blue velvet to be exact. He loved it!!
Maddie did too!
After cake we broke out the bubble set Cason got from Aunt Shirley and Alpie.
 Maddie had fun chasing bubbles!
 Bradley made a HUGE bubble.
Emory and Cason trying to pop the big bubble!
Up up and away! The big bubbles were a hit! Thank you Aunt Shirley and Alpie!!
Everyone had fun one the zipline. Aunt Cameron and Grandmaw both gave it a go!!!
Cason partied and partied. He had a blast and loves all the new things he received. Thank you to everyone that came!!!

4 Years Old

Cason Bradley you are four years old today!
Happy Birthday!!
You are wearing a size 3t and 9/10 shoes. Your favorite restaurants are Taco Bueno and "Barrel Cracker". (We have no idea why you say it backwards!) You love going to church and usually make a friend wherever we go. Some of your favorite foods are pancakes, cereal bars, gummies, strawberries, roast, rice & gravy, tacos, and blueberry waffles. You are a great eater and love all foods, but fruits are your favorite.

You are sweet and very silly. You love to laugh and make others laugh. You also have just a smidgen of attitude, which usually comes out when you are not getting your way...like below!

You love to play with Emory, dig in the dirt, and "wurk" with your tools. You love tractors, dump trucks, backhoes and excavators. You also have a wonderful imagination which I just love.
Happy Birthday Sweet Boy! We love you very much.

Cinderella

This morning we took the kids to see Cinderella. The girls dressed up like princesses and Cason wore his big green tractor shirt because he is a farmer. The movie was better then I expected and Emory loved it. Cason made it through all but the last 10 minutes or so. It didn't help that there were more than 30 minutes worth of commercials and previews before it started. We also got to see the new mini Frozen movie which was funny and a hit with these three!

HLSR Weekend

Last Saturday we headed to Houston because Bradley had 3 kids showing pigs Sunday, so we made a mini vacation out of it.  Our first stop was the Galleria so Emory could ice skate. She has been wanting to ice skate for some time now and was super excited.
She did great! She really picked it up fast and before long was skating away from the wall.
Cason spent all of 1 minute on the ice and was done. He said it was too slippery and decided that McDonald's fries sounded better!
After ice skating we checked in to the hotel and then headed to "barrel cracker" which is Cason's new favorite restaurant. After dinner the kids and Bradley played a game of checkers. Emory was studying the board looking for the right move.

There was a Bass Pro Shop by the restaurant so we of course had to stop.
Emory posing in front of the store.
 Grrrrrrrrrrrrr
The next morning bright and early we headed to the HLSR. While Bradley tended to students and pigs the kids and I checked out all the sights. We watched baby chicks hatch.
We also checked out the two day old chicks.
Cason found a friend! This little chick followed him around, which he thought was funny. We also saw baby pigs and cows, including twin calves.
 We also rode horses!
That afternoon we took a few silly pictures before heading up to the second floor to take a rest. Basically I sat in a small hallway off the main hall while both kids slept for about 2 hours.
 My two sweetpeas!
They are wearing their new hats they picked out with Christmas money.
Emory cheesing and Cason being silly.
Cason's face cracks me up. He was over taking pictures and super tired.
This is the hallway we napped in.
We left about 8:00 that evening which made for a long day but the kids had a blast on our mini spring break vacation! Also one of Bradley's kids made the sale with his pig!
