A few of Emory's recent art projects and worksheets from school.

Emory's class made these placemats for their Thanksgiving party.  

 She also made this necklace and a turkey hat, which I did not get a picture of.

Mrs. Duke made a record after the sock hop for each student.

 Emory learned all about the Pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving and made a book.

As you can see, Emory is still all about color! The more colors the better! 

Thanksgiving Choir Program

Last Sunday night Emory's choir had a little performance during the Sunday night church service. The kids did a great job singing their songs!

 The Sunday night service is in the chapel and the lighting in there is not the greatest but I did manage to get one picture that is somewhat decent.

It's Out

Tonight Emory lost her first tooth! We have been patiently waiting and letting it just work its way loose for several weeks. She pulled it to where it was almost out and practically laying flat. Then I did one little pull and out it came! Her other bottom tooth has been loose for about a week or so and I feel like that one will be out soon as well. Sooooo it looks like Emory may be asking for her two bottom teeth for Christmas!

 Her "big girl" teeth underneath have really moved her other bottom tooth. I guess they are making room for themselves.

 She was super excited for it to finally be out but keeps telling us it feels weird.

 Cason wanted me to take a picture of his teeth too!

Here she is just before bed with her tooth in the tooth pillow that Alpie made for her. The pillow is out of one of her old curtains from her nursery bedding. She put the pillow under one of her pillows when she got in bed and is ready for the tooth fairy! 

Family Turkey Project

Emory had a homework assignment this weekend, the family turkey project, which involved us disguising her turkey so it will safely make it past Thanksgiving. We discussed several disguises including a baby duck and a M & M candy, but ended up disguising our turkey as a package. We have been getting quite a few packages in the mail lately thanks to online shopping for Christmas, plus Emory and Cason both like getting things in the mail, especially big packages!

Emory did a good job coloring and gluing all the packing noodles on! Hopefully Amazon's disguise will work and she will safely make it past Thanksgiving!

Today we had Thanksgiving at Mimi and Peepaw's house and I took a few pictures of the kids.

Emory and I decided a few weeks ago that the picture of Mckenzie and her from about three years ago that is in her room needed to be updated. So after several tries I was able to get the above picture. They are both looking at the camera and smiling...we will take it!

And my silly little boy! Cason has not been at 100% this weekend. He has had a runny nose and the sneezes for a few days and today he has been very tired. He slept for 3.5 hours this afternoon and then started feeling bad after dinner and wanted to come home. Hopefully he will get to feeling better soon. Not being at 100% did not stop him from having a good time playing with his sister and cousins! They all had a grand ole time playing and being silly.

Emory brought home her school pictures this week. She looks so grown up to me.

Busy Busy Weekend

It has been a very busy weekend. Friday night Emory's school had a Fall Festival and the kids were asked to dress as a Disney character. Emory went as a Disney princess because that is what we had! Emory had a blast playing with her friends, jumping, and sliding in the bounce houses.

She also enjoyed the cupcakes!

Then Saturday she had two birthday parties to attend. The first one was in the morning at one of Emory's favorite parks. I was fearful it was going to get rained out but thankfully the rain held off just long enough for the kids to have a good time.

Emory was too busy playing with her friends to pause for a picture or at least one with a real smile! Cason tagged along too and enjoyed playing at the park. He loved these tires!

I just love this picture for some reason! He was just taking it all in. Then yesterday evening we headed to Emory's friend Andi Beth's birthday party, which included a cook out and hay ride.

 Emory waiting on the hay ride to start. She was so excited because last year we had to leave Andi Beth's party early and she did not get to go on the hay ride. Needless to say she has not FORGOT about it. We have had a busy but great weekend and I am looking forward to my day off tomorrow!

Mother Nature

My mums this year have been beautiful. I planted these two last year and managed to keep them alive all year. They have been in full bloom for about a month now and are huge.

I hope they continue to grow and thrive and I can keep them living for a few more years!

November is here which means Bradley's game cameras have been capturing pictures for a few weeks now. So far we have seen birds, raccoons, hogs, deer, rabbits, rats, and foxes on the cameras.

This bad boy has been the largest to date. He hung around and ate for several hours.

And Bradley is hoping this guy returns this weekend during the day!
