5 Months Old

Eli Grant you are 5 months old today!

 You are wearing size 6 months and 6 - 9 months clothes and a size 3 diapers. You are a good eater and so far you have tried cereal, apples, and sweet potatoes. You loved them all!

 You have the sweetest smile and the most precious little laugh.  You are a very happy baby!!

 Your bottom gums are so swollen and your teeth are driving you nuts. You are constantly drooling and usually are chewing on something, including your socks and feet! No teeth have peeked through yet though.

You are almost sitting up all by yourself and seem to get stronger every day! You love watching your big sister and brother and your favorite toy is your cow. He goes everywhere with you! You are such a sweet little boy and give the best kisses! We love you Eli.

Emory at the Messy Olympics a few weeks ago at church. She has slime, shaving cream, and Cheetos on her head. She STUNK but she had lots of fun!

An Apple A Day

Last Tuesday Eli tried apples for the first time.

 

He loved them. He ate the entire container of apples plus some cereal.

He is a growing boy!

He also thinks he is a pro at eating now and likes to "feed" himself! Last night he tried sweet potatoes for the first time and loved those too!

Eli's First Taste of Food

A few weeks ago (08/08/16) Eli got his first taste of cereal. He wasn't too sure about it at first.

First Day of School

Today was the kids first day of school. Emory is officially a second grader and Cason is in Kindergarten. Cason says the best thing about Kindergarten is NO naps!



I can't believe Emory is already in second grade. Seems like yesterday she just started school. 

Cason has on his new tennis shoes that make him jump extra high! He picked them out over the summer after seeing a commercial for them.

Peek-a-boo

Someone was playing peek-a-boo instead of napping this weekend!

4 Month Check-Up

Eli had his 4 month check-up today. He weighs 15.4 pounds (44th percentile) and is 25.5 inches long (63rd percentile). He gained 2 pounds and over 2 inches from his 2 month visit. He smiled and talked during his exam but then got very mad during his ear exam. Apparently he does not like people putting things in his ears!

He had a good check-up and is on target or above with all his milestones. He handled his 4 month shots much better than his 2 month ones with only a few tears shed.  

He is such a sweet little boy!!!

(He scratched his eye with his finger nails which seem to grow long every night!)

Corpus Christi 2016

After our fun filled Monday in Corpus Christi Eli was worn out. He has slept with his hands like this since he was born.

The kids and I swam most mornings after breakfast while Bradley was at the conference.

We visited Chuck-E-Cheese one day. We got there just after they opened and there was hardly anyone there. It was nice and quiet!!!

The Spot

Monday morning the kids were getting ready while watching tv on the couch. Emory got up to do something and Cason took "her spot" while she was gone.  When she got back they started arguing over the spot and I told them to stop fighting because no one spot on the couch had anyone's name on it. I went back to my bathroom to finish getting ready for work. A few minutes later Bradley discovered this.

The Beach

The first trip to the beach we drove over to Mustang Island and went to the beach near Port Aransas. It was super windy.

Eli was not a fan of the wind.

Going  over the bridge headed back to Corpus.

One  evening we went to a small beach in Corpus to look for sea shells.

It was still incredibly windy.
