Round Up Sunday 2014

Today was round up Sunday at church and the kids moved up to their new Sunday school classes. Emory is in the Kindergarten class and Cason the 3 year old. He is super excited to be on the first floor with his sister this year! 

They both said they had a good time and Cason said he is no longer scared of his big boy class. He was a little nervous this morning and did not want me to go (one of the helpers had to peel him off of me)! Hopefully he will be better next time.

First Friday Field Day

 First Friday Field Day was yesterday at Emory's school. She was on the gray team this year.

 After field day was over Emory said she was worn out!

Wet & Wild

Wednesday the kids and I went to the Wet & Wild Family Night at church.  The kids had a blast on the slides and playing with their friends! They also enjoyed corn dogs and funnel cake!

 

Art Class Drawing

Emory brought this lovely picture home today. She said she made it in art class and it is a picture of an angry cheetah mouse (the mouse has spots that are a little hard to see). Apparently the cheetah mouse is angry because the clock is ticking too loud. Emory has a story for everything and it is usually a creative one!

I thought she did a great job drawing the mouse and clock! 

First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Emory's first day of Kindergarten and she was super excited!

Mrs. Smith sent this home letting us know that Emory had a great first day! Emory said she learned a lot and had fun!

HAIR CUT

Emory got a MUCH NEEDED haircut last week. She has been against haircuts for several months now because she wanted to grow it long like Rapunzel's, however it recently reached her bottom and was a pain to brush. So we got 6 inches cut off, because she is going to be 6. It looks much better!

Welcome to Kindergarten

Emory received this post card in the mail yesterday from Mrs. Smith welcoming her to Kindergarten!

She also went to school from 10:00 to 12:00 yesterday to meet her classmates and learn about all the exciting things she will be learning and doing this year. Most importantly she saw her desk! All but one of her classmates returned from Pre-K plus there are several new kids in her class of 16 (10 boys and 6 girls). She said that she had lots of fun!
