Second Grade Field Trip to the Strawberry Patch

Yesterday I went with Eli's class to the strawberry patch, the weather was perfect and the kids had a blast picking and sampling fresh from the field strawberries. After picking we had a picnic lunch and then headed back to the school. Eli loved it!

Big Serve

This year for Big Serve I worked with 2nd grade filling in many many holes and replacing nets at the soccer fields. The kids and parents all worked hard, after a morning of works the kids had a picnic and then headed back to school for a little fun. They had popsicles, snow cones, played games and face painting.

Junior High Track

Cason participated in track this year. He ran a couple different races, but then discovered that he really liked shot put, placing 4th in the 7th grade boys category at the district meet. He also really loves socalizing and being silly, but we already knew that. 

 

Solar Eclipse 2024

Our house was fortunate to be in the 97% of totality for the soclar eclipse and I was able to use eclipse glasses over my camera lens to take pictures. 

The kids school handed out eclipse glassess and they got to go outside and check it out throughout the day!

 

Happy Birthday Cason and Eli

This year the boys birthday fell at Easter, with Cason's being the Thursday before Good Friday and Eli's on Easter Sunday. I took cupcakes to Eli's class the Wednesday before his birthday because Thursday was field day and an early release day, with school getting out at noon. I did take ice cream cups for Cason's class, but it was crazy with field day and all and I did not get one picture. We also had a mini family reuion at dad's new house that weekend, so Cason spent a lot of time fishing. 

I apparently failed to take any pictures of Cason and Eli and their birthday cakes, it was a busy weekend, but here is Cason with his giant catch over spring break.
