Christmas Day & Eve

 Christmas morning Eli was up before 5, but we made him wait a bit before waking up the other two. After presents were opened we ate breakfast and then started preparing for Christmas lunch!

Christmas Eve we went to church and then came home. The kids took their annual Christmas pj's picture in front of Christmas tree and opened their gifts from each other!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year freezing temps and all! 

Santa Land 2022

A couple days before Christmas we made our annual trip to Santa Land. As always it was a fun trip with a few new scenes this year! I think the farm scene from last year is still my favorite newish display! 

Cason brought his binoculars to look for burnt out lights! 

 

Christmas Party Day

Eli decided early in the school year that he wanted to be called Rufus. This is how he signed his teachers present. His teacher, Mrs. Chapman, sent him an thank you note over the break and she started it "Dear Rufus," which made his day when he read the note! 

The last day of school before the Christmas break was a half day and mainly consisted of fun and parties! 

It was dress in your Christmas shirt or ugly sweater/onesie day! 

December Happenings

December was a fun and busy month! We started it off with a show in Carthage. Emory took home 3rd overall in showmanship and her and Ellie were Reserve Champion shorthorn. 

After the show we headed home to get ready for the Christmas Parade. I only managed to get two pictures, but the parade was great and it wasn't too cold ! 

All three kids participated in the Regents Christmas program. I managed to get a picture of Eli and Cason, but didn't get one of Emory. 

I have no idea what this is about! 

Basketball season started and this year both Emory and Casson are playing junior high basketball. Emory is on the girls A team and Cason on the boys B team. 

Cason's School Play

Last Friday evening the 5th and 6th grade drama classes performed. Cason was the Narrator and did a great job!
