Let the fun begin

Emory and Cason have been playing with Emory's birthday presents since they woke up from their naps yesterday afternoon.

Aunt Rachel, Uncle Andrew & Mckenzie gave Emory this big house that you color. Emory has had fun playing peek-a-boo out the window with Cason and Cason has had fun opening the doors!

We gave Emory a Barbie fishing pole that she fell in love with a few weeks ago at Academy. She went fishing last night while Cason was taking his bath.

She caught this purple fish and a certain little blue eyed boy a few times also!

We also gave Emory the MobiGo gaming device and a Disney princess video game. She loves it!

Cason has had a blast playing with all the balloons!

This morning after breakfast Emory wanted to paint with her new finger paint set. Thank you Aunt Cameron, Uncle Blake, & Noah for all the "art project" goodies and the sidewalk paint set.

I think it is safe to say that Emory has had a wonderful third birthday!

3 Years Old

Emory Grace you are 3 years old today!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

You are wearing size 2t clothes and a size 7 shoe.

You have a very large vocabulary and constantly amaze me with new words. Like the other day when I asked you if you wanted mac-and-cheese and you said "I considering it mom." You recently started saying "oh nugget" instead of "oh no," apparently this is an inside joke with you and your sidekick Nicki!  You have also started telling us "good job" when we do something. The other night we were eating dinner and you told me it was tasty and good job! Such a mess!

You are sweet, sassy, stubborn, and silly all rolled into one! You love to play games, go for walks in the forest, and do art projects. Your favorite cartoons right now are Team Umizoomi, Dora, and Diego. Your favorite colors are purple and pink. You love all things cowgirl and princess. You love to dress up in your play clothes and sing and dance.  

You are quite the negotiator and always try to talk us into one more movie or one more book before bed. When you ask us for something and don't like our answer you repeat the question and add an "I say" on the end, as if we did not hear you right the first time.

This morning you asked for cake on your new Dora plate for breakfast (you also had sausage and a pancake). You are not a picky eater and love most foods. 

You are a wonderful big sister and love this little guy to pieces.  

 You call Cason Buddy 99.9 % of the time.

We love you very very much Emory and are so thankful to have you as our daughter! 

Happy Birthday Emory

Friday Emory had her birthday party at Ms. Betty's. She picked out purple and pink cupcakes and Dora party favors to take for her friends. Ms. Betty said all the kids had a great time.

Today we celebrated Emory's birthday with a small family party.

She asked for a horsee cake with purple and pink icing. Unfortunately the purple icing was a bit on the blue side, but Emory loved it and that is all that matters!

She was super excited while we were singing "happy birthday."

After cake Emory could not wait to open presents.

Cason had a good time playing with the bags and wrapping paper.

  Emory gave Cason a few of her presents while she was opening them. She would bring them over to him and say "Merry Christmas Buddy." I think it bothered her that he did not have any presents to open. So sweet!

She had a wonderful time at her birthday party! I want to thank everyone for coming and sharing in her special day!

Big Girl Bed

Emory will be three next Sunday so I figured it was time for the big girl bed to makes it debut. I still need to get one or two accent pillows and a bed skirt which I completely forgot about, but other then that her big girl bed is ready to go. I am curious to see how she does tonight because she was very attached to her little bed, but she has been telling me she wants a big girl bed for a month or so now. Her top two reasons for wanting to make the switch were: jumping on a big bed and getting to snuggle in bed with Mommy/Daddy before bed. I must admit that it makes me a little sad to see that big bed in her room.

Gifts

I got many wonderful gifts for Christmas this year, but these two are two of the best gifts I have ever received!

My Little Stinker

Last week Cason learned how to throw things from his highchair and he thought it was hilarious! Needless to say he has a new favorite game! Here he is throwing a block. He throws it, watches it fall, looks at it on the floor, and then laughs.

Such a mess!

Happy New Year

Yesterday evening we set off fireworks at Mimi and Peepaw's house. Emory had fun with the sparkler's but was not to sure about the other fireworks. We did not have any that were real loud but did have a few with a little pop to them!

Mckenzie was a little hesitant at first but towards the end she seemed to like them!

Cason of course just watched, he LOVES to watch things!

He did get a little cranky towards the end because he was ready for the three B's: bath, bottle, & bed!
