10 Months Old

Cason Bradley you are 10 months old today!
You wear size 9 and 12 months clothes, a size 2 shoe, and a size 4 diaper. You now have 8 teeth with more on the way! (4 top & 4 bottom)
You can say mama, dada, bye bye, ay (hi), dat (that), uh and eh. You say uh when you don't get your way and eh when you want something.
You are walking with assistance and have stood all by yourself for 10 to 15 seconds! You are eating baby food and table food. You have tried and loved various types of beans, peas, apples, carrots, spaghetti, pancakes, cake, ravioli, chicken nuggets, biscuits, Nilla Wafers, and tomatoes. You definitely prefer the table food because you want to feed yourself.
You can wave hi/bye and love to play peek-a-boo. You are a curious little thing and love to explore your sister's bedroom. You are a pro at emptying out the toy basket and Emory's kitchen.
You love to throw things. You throw things from your highchair, crib, and just in general. You adore your sister and follow Emory around like a little duckling.
You are a very good baby and only get fussy if you are hungry or tired. You love to laugh and are such a happy little guy!

I can't believe you are already 10 months old. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital. We love you very much Cason!

Emory Banana

For as long as I can remember I have been called Hannah Banana, so when Emory decided to wear her banana peel as a hat this evening it seemed only fitting to take a picture.

Weekend Fun

Sunday evening Emory painted with the sidewalk paint and chalk set she got for her birthday. She loved it and had a blast.
Emory thought Hank and Cole needed a little color too!

Cason spent the better part of the weekend emptying Emory's kitchen, which is his new favorite activity. He opens and closes the doors, bangs all the pots together, and enjoys making a big mess!
Saturday afternoon we took Emory to see Beauty & The Beast 3D at the theater. Mimi and Peepaw kept Cason so it was just the three of us. Emory sang along, recited the lines, ate popcorn, and had a good time.
Here she is modeling her 3D glasses this afternoon.
She was on her way to take her backpack with her ballet clothes to Mimi's house for tomorrow. Not sure why she wanted to wear her hat!

Photo Shoot

When Emory was a baby I had her pictures made when she was a newborn, 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year old and wanted to do the same for Cason. Unfortunately with Christmas and Emory's birthday I waited to late and the photographer could not get us in until the end of February. So I was feeling a little guilty yesterday morning and decided to attempt a photo shoot at home. They are definitely not professional quality but at least I have something documenting Cason at 9 months (barely).

Emory's First Ballet Class

Emory went to her first ballet class this afternoon or as she calls it ballerina school. I bought her a cute little pink leotard with matching skirt to wear but she insisted on wearing her purple tutu, because "ballerina's wear tutu's mama." She learned first position, baby steps, and turns. She lost interest a few times as did most of the little girls but did really well for her first class.
Emory had fun at ballet class and said she wants to go back next week!!!

3 year & 9 month check-ups

This morning we headed to Dr. Huggins office for Emory’s 3 year check-up and Cason’s 9 month check-up. I was so excited to learn that Emory gained nearly 3 pounds since her 2 ½ year check-up in July. She weighed 27.4 lbs. (16th percentile) and is 38 inches tall (75th percentile). She passed her hearing test with flying colors and got her blood pressure checked for the first time (well maybe not the FIRST time, but the first she can remember). She told Dr. Huggins all about her horsee birthday cake and was a very good girl during her check-up.
Cason gained 2 pounds 2 inches from his 6 month check-up. He weighed 20.8 lbs. (60th percentile) and is 28.75 inches long (54th percentile). Dr. Huggins could not believe how strong he is and said she feels he will be walking (independently) soon. Cason was on target or above target in all of his milestones. Dr. Huggins said his gums were very swollen so more teeth are definitely on the way!
Cason had to get his finger pricked so they could draw blood for a routine lead test. He did not shed one tear because he was to busy trying to get the band aid off the nurses hand. Emory on the other hand did not like them taking Cason's blood and got very concerned that the nurse was hurting him. She did not relax until it was all over with.
Dr. Huggins said that I had two healthy cutie pies, which I am so very thankful for!
