The Visitor

Yesterday we had a visit from a little green turtle. Emory decided he was lost and looking for his Mommy. I guess he spent the day at our house because he was there when we left for work and stopped back by late yesterday evening. While Emory was watching him from inside she kept saying, "I've never met a turtle before. Can I go say hi?" She eventually decided she could introduce herself through the door and said, "Hi turtle my name is Emory Grace Cobb. Are you looking for your Mommy? I think she is in the forest."
The turtle did eventually make its way back to the woods. There was a close call which involved a ride from Cole via his mouth but he survived!

Makeup

Yesterday morning Emory wanted to put on makeup with me. I have some old makeup that I don't wear anymore so I let her put on eye shadow, blush, and lip gloss. She was very honored by this and took it VERY seriously. I mainly wear neutral colors so it is hard to see the eye shadow and blush in these pictures but you can't miss the lip gloss!!

Mommy's Little Helper

I was doing laundry this morning and when I went back to close the dryer door I found this.
I also found a little boy who was having a grand ole time loading the dryer.

Emoryisms Continued

Emory continues to say the funniest things, so I felt the need to document a few of her latest sayings.
" He was making an awful mess in my room."
" Ax'em Jacks"
(Her friend Niki taught her this one. She also knows the SFA Ax'em Jacks hand motion!)
"That's marvelous"
"Great balls of fire"
"I might get scared"
(She says this whenever she does not want to do something)

More Milk Please

He is one determined little boy!

Last weekend we bought the kids a new pool and this afternoon Bradley set it up and let the kids swim.
Emory did a little dancing too!

Coloring Fun

This morning after breakfast we broke out the markers and coloring books. This was Cason's first time to color and he loved it. He was so funny! He would shake his head back and forth in the same motion that he was coloring. Too cute!
He colored with these little markers that he got for Easter. He did really well gripping and coloring with them. Plus aren't they cute!
He colored with both hands and is still not favoring one side over the other, but he did seem to have more control with his right hand. Maybe we will have a little righty after all!
One of Cason's masterpieces!
Emory had a great time coloring too!
One of her masterpieces!
Emory tried out Cason's markers because "they are oh so cute!"
 Such a mess!
