The Polar Express

Tonight we went to the Texas State Railroad in Palestine and road the Polar Express. This was our first time riding the Polar Express or a "real" train for that matter and the kids had a blast!
Emory and Cason waiting on the train.
This was our train car, number 46. We sat in rows 12 AB and 13 AB.

There were 730 people on our train!

 Listening to the story.
 The North Pole and Santa!
Cason looking out the window. I was able to capture his reflection!
 Emory and Cason dancing!
 Santa Claus!
The kids were actually not afraid of Santa this year! Santa passed out jingle bells to all the kids.

Singing Christmas songs and jingling their bells!
They had a blast!

Emory's School Work

Emory brought home her progress report last week.
Emory's first spelling test. She was upset that she missed one. She says that she did not hear the "sh" and just heard he. I am thinking it might of had something to do with rushing to write down an answer.  Either way she did a great job on her spelling test!
 A recent math "test"
Emory brought home this turkey picture today. The yellow square under the turkey is a hay bale!
This was written on the back. She is all about writing the date these days! Even if isn't in the right order!
Last week Emory's class celebrated Veterans Day!

Kindergarten School Picture

Last Friday Emory came home with her school picture.
She looks like such a big girl.

The Map

Two weeks ago Emory came home with an assignment to make a map of her neighborhood, farm, or area in which she lived. Emory worked hard on her map for two days (off and on) with our help. She did a very good job and was proud of it!

The New Tie

Saturday the kids and I headed to Lufkin to do a little shopping because Emory was in need of new tennis shoes and winter clothes. While in The Children's Place Cason spotted a rack with ties. He decided that he needed one because he was a big boy and big boys wear ties. He immediately picked out one with all different types of balls on it. Since it was on the sale rack for $0.99 I caved in and bought it for him. He was super excited and insisted on wearing it to church yesterday.

Mad Cat

Emory came home with this masterpiece today. She said it was a mad cat. What cracked me up was how she signed her name. Apparently it is now Emory G. Cobb!

Fall Fest 2014

Last night the kids went to Fall Fest at church. Emory has wavered on what she was going to be this year changing her mind several times over the past few weeks. She decided on a Forrest Fairy. Cason went has Jake. He has had his mind made up since Disney World.
My little Forrest Fairy and Jake!
Emory wanted me to take a picture of her pretty wings.
This picture cracks me up. Cason was all smiles and Miss Priss was giving attitude!
The photo booth at church!
The kids played tons of games, did crafts, and trick-or-treated! There was so much to do we never even made it to the bounce houses! They had a blast and came home with tons of goodies!
Emory shooting balloons!
Cason waiting on his turn.
She aimed and scored! She has quite the arm!
