Silly Phone Pic's

Both Emory and Cason love taking silly pictures.
Cason was doing a silly pose!

This is how butterfly's look!
An Emory selfie.
She takes pictures with our phones and leaves us surprises!
Have no idea!
Cason pointing to the brown paint on his belly. Some how he managed to get paint on his belly but not on his shirt. He is talented!

Kindergarten Second Quarter Report Card

Emory brought home her report card Friday and I was surprised at how many more A's (all the time) she had this time versus the first quarter. She continues to enjoy learning!

Emory's Story

Last Friday Emory was at Mimi's house and decided to write a story on the computer. She did a great job! She is very proud of her story so we hung it on the refrigerator. I still get tickled that she feels the need to use her middle name or middle initial on her paperwork and art work!

New Years Eve

After dinner we went over to Mimi and PawPaws to do fireworks.
Cason was not afraid at all this year and had a blast running around with the sparkler's.
Bradley picked out some pretty fireworks, but our favorite was the Global Warning one. Hopefully we can find that one next year and get a few of those. I wasn't able to get a picture of it though.
I can't remember what this one was called but it was pretty too. The kids had fun watching the fireworks.
After fireworks we came home and just hung out and watched football. There was no staying up until midnight at this house!
Happy 2015!!!

Little Artist's

A few nights ago the kids were in our room watching a movie before bed. They were watching a Curious George episode about a homing pigeon.
Emory I guess decided to draw the pigeon and went to work. When she was done she came and showed us her pigeon which she drew after seeing the pigeon above on TV. I know I am partial because she is my little girl, but I really think she has some artistic ability. I am not sure I could look at a pigeon on television and then go and draw it from memory!
She did a fantastic job! She also drew the pigeon flying away which is in the background. As you can see she hung the picture on her wall in her room.
Her new thing is to hang her art work in her room. I think I am going to have to buy her a bulletin board to display her work because painter's tape is not too cute!
This lovely dog is hanging on her door.
Little brother had to hang something on his door too. He drew a Christmas tree without the ornaments.

Christmas Day

Santa Claus found our house again this year!
Christmas morning Cason came running into our room (Emory slept with us so she was already in there) shouting that Santa had been in the living room and that he had a digger! He was super excited!
Santa brought Emory a new bike, art supplies, necklace and earring holder, kinetic sand, pajama's and a few goodies in her stocking. Cason got a digger, art supplies, kinetic sand, Hungry Hippo, John Deere cup, and goodies in his stocking too! They also got a zipline to share!!
Cason jumped on his digger right away!
Emory and her new big girl bike. She was not too thrilled that Santa left the training wheels on because as she reminded us many times, "she DOES NOT need them!"
It did not take Cason long to figure how to use his digger.
Emory got a cool Barbie doll from Grandma where you design her outfits.
She loved her Elsa dress that we got her. She wore it all day!
The frozen pose!
She was giving me the frozen pose.
After we opened presents it was time to get cooking because we were hosting Christmas lunch this year.
My partially set table. As you can see I started setting the table then got sidetracked and forgot that I had only put silverware at one place setting. I didn't even notice it until just before we sat down to eat. I also forgot to take pictures of the other table...oops.
For dinner Bradley barbecued brisket, ribs, and pork. We also had a ham, "stick together mac-n-cheese, lima beans, pork-n-beans, and pasta salad. After lunch we played and played.
Cason playing with his playdough saw truck.
 He made a log!
 Moving all the logs!!
Emory working on a masterpiece. She drew the scene which is a horse in a pasture and then she painted it! She loves art.
Cason painted a picture too. His is more of an abstract piece!
Emory and Cason's first canvas paintings!
We have also played many games over the past two days. The kids each got several games for Christmas and we have enjoyed playing with them. So far we have played Rack-O, Super Pop-Up Pirate, Headbandz, Zingo, John Deere Domino's, Hungry Hippo, and Disney Pictionary.
Today they had a camp out in their new sleeping bags! Cason also slept in his on the floor last night. I think it is safe to say we have had a great Christmas. Thank you everyone for coming and being a part of it!

Christmas Eve

This Christmas Eve we had planned on going to the candle light service at church but did not get to because Emory woke up during the night with fever and we decided to not go just in case she was getting sick. So that evening I made lasagna and we just stayed in. The kids opened a few of their presents from Grandma and Pawpaw who came down that afternoon.
The first present of the night.
Both kids got Nerf guns and lots of ammo, which by the way hurts when hit.
They also each got two Digi birds. These little birds are pretty neat and sing songs in harmony with each other.
