Weekend Trip to San Antonio

Last weekend one of Bradley's students showed his pig at the San Antonio Livestock Show so Friday afternoon we drove down and spent the night at Rachel and Andrew's. We didn't get there to 8:30 that night but the kids got to play a little Friday night and all of Saturday morning. They had a blast playing but I did not take one picture while we were there. Then Saturday about noon we headed to San Antonio. We stayed one the Riverwalk which was pretty exciting for a certain 6 year old. After checking in we walked a few blocks to the Alamo.
Emory is really into history these days and liked the Alamo. The whole time we were waiting in line she sang The Star Spangled Banner! She got a little confused on her wars and asked a few times when looking at all the pictures "where the red coats were!"
I loved this old tree inside the grounds of the Alamo.
The kids in front of the monument at the Alamo.
Cason is jumping off and Emory giving me a pose!
After the Alamo we went down to the Riverwalk and took the boat tour.
While on the tour we saw a few girls taking pictures in their quinceanera dresses. Emory thought the dresses were very pretty.
It was late afternoon when we rode the boat and Cason hadn't had a nap he was so tired but enjoyed seeing everything. He also liked the ducks!
I of course had to take a picture of the ultimate Spurs fan who we came across while on the boat tour.
Emory enjoyed learning about the Riverwalk. She is such a little sponge when it comes to learning new things.
Cason fell asleep about half way through the tour.
 Emory took a few selfies!
This was our boat and tour guide.
After the tour we went back to the hotel so Cason could sleep a little. Then we headed back down to the Riverwalk for dinner. Emory loved all the lights at night. Early the next morning, as in before daybreak, we headed to the Livestock show. Cason had a blast checking out all the tractors. He said this one was just his size!
He found a little excavator and was too excited for words!
Emory and I watched several classes of pigs (Cason slept in my arms) while Bradley made sure Bryce's pig was ready to show. After Bryce showed we left and headed home. The kids had a great time on our little mini vacation!!

Silly Emory & Her Valentines Box

Emory had to make a Valentines box for her party at school a few weeks ago. She worked very hard decorating her box with paper, pipe cleaners, and stickers! She said she loved it when she was finished!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PARTY

Yesterday we celebrated Emory's 6th birthday with a party! For her birthday she wanted to play games, decorate cupcakes, and make art projects, so that is what we did!
 Playing Twister!
The birthday girl not looking at the camera!
Emory's friend Emberlyn and her cupcake all decorated!
 Raylee and her cupcake!
Since we were decorating cupcakes we didn't have a cake, so Emory blew out her candle in her cupcake. There was barely room for the candle!

6 Year Old Pictures Take Two

Soccer Fun

Sunday afternoon Bradley put to together the soccer goal we got Emory for her birthday. She plays soccer at school and really likes it. She has even asked to play this spring.  She also got a new pink soccer ball for her birthday too!
Emory going in for the kick. She was trying to score a goal!
She decided to distract her Daddy by making silly faces before kicking the ball. She's a smart cookie!
Cason got into the action too!
 This face makes me smile!
Emory decided to be the goalie while Cason and Bradley kicked.
Being the goalie is hard work!
Cason also did a little jumping while we were outside playing soccer.
He jumped so hard he lost his pants!
