Pineywoods Fair 2016

Last Thursday we headed to the Pineywoods fair. Emory and Cason first rode rides with Mckenzie and Lincoln and then participated in Peewee Showmanship. They had a blast!
Eli had a grand time people watching!

Riding the rides!
Emory and Cason each did a great job showing their pigs and both earned a blue ribbon!

Eli missed out on showmanship but enjoyed a little nap!

Field Trip to Moore Farm

Last Thursday Pre-K - First Grade took a field trip to Moore Farm in Bullard. I helped drive and Eli tagged along.  All the kids had a blast on the farm!

Pumpkin Patch 2016

Yesterday evening we took the kids to the pumpkin patch to take pictures and pick up a few little pumpkins for the table. Eli was a fan of the pumpkin patch and all the new sights!
 Our three little pumpkins!
Eli Grant (6 months old)
 Cason Bradley (5 years old)
 Emory Grace (7 years old)
 I just love his smile!
This little giggle box is pretty cute too!
And then there is my beautiful sweet big girl!
This picture makes me laugh. It pretty much sums up their personalities!

6 Month Check-Up

Last Friday Eli had his 6 month check-up. He weighed 15.6 lbs (13th percentile) and is 27 inches (62nd percentile). His weight surprised me because he only gained 2 ounces since his 4 month visit and because I weighed him about a month ago and he was nearly 17lbs. Plus he is a big eater. He did grow 1.5 inches and has been teething so his doctor was not too concerned but does want us to add a spoon full of cereal to his baby food as well as bring him back in a month for a weight check.
Eli was at or above all of his milestones and had a good check-up. He got several shots again this time but hardly shed a tear. The shots did make him sleepy and he fell asleep while playing with his toy during tummy time after we got home. I got tickled because he was sound asleep and still holding on to his toy.

East Texas Fair

Yesterday Bradley had three students show goats in Tyler at the East Texas Fair so the kids and I tagged along and had fun at the fair while he worked.
Why we waited for the rides to open we checked at the Agriculture area, which had fun educational activities for the kids to do. Cason wanted his picture taken with the Texas Longhorn (he insists on saying Texas) and Emory with the horse.
They both had fun playing on this tractor.
My two little farmers!
Eli wanted to ride the tractor too!
They did a little fishing too!
I love this picture of these two on the porch.
The rides opened up at noon and it was wrist band day all you can ride until 5:00 pm. We got our money's worth and rode rides until 3:00!
Driving boats!
Riding the rides!
Cavender's had another area for kids that was a hit!!
This pit full of pinto beans was one of Cason's favorites.
Emory practiced saddling a horse.
Both kids practiced milking Betsy the fake cow!
Cason practiced his roping.
Cason (5), Emory (7) and Eli (6 months)
Cason trying to rope his sister!
The kids each made a rope with the help of one the workers.
Cason's rope!
Emory's rope!
Riding one of the roller coasters. We rode LOTS of rides and all four of us were tired when the goat show ended at 3:30. Eli was a little trooper and had a great time people watching and taking in the sounds of his first fair.
