Our Christmas Tree

We went again this year to the Christmas tree farm in Mt. Enterprise to pick out our tree.

Emory and Cason both helped me decorate the tree. They did a great job with only 5 or so broken ornaments, all of which were old ones from my college days.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we went to Crockett to celebrate Thanksgiving at Alpie's. I attempted picture's with Alpie and 5 of her 6 great grandkids. These were the two best ones!

8 Months Old

Eli Grant you are 8 months old!



You are wearing size 9 month clothes and a size 3 diaper. You haven't been feeling well this week, so I carried you to the doctor on Tuesday and you weighed 19.4 lbs! You are a happy baby with a huge smile that you flash often, even to strangers who stop to talk to you at the store! We recently discovered that you think swatting flies with the fly swatter is HILARIOUS!

You have three teeth (2 bottom and 1 top) with several more on the way. Your little gums are very swollen and white so they should be here soon! You can say Mama, Baba, and Hi (sort of). You aren't crawling on all 4's just yet, but you are a pro army crawler! You are fast and have even ventured into other rooms!

You are very observant and inquisitive! You see something you want and go for it! You are pulling up but usually just make it to your knees before either getting stuck or falling.

Taking your monthly sticker pictures has become quite challenging because you just want to put the sticker in your mouth. You like putting everything in your mouth! You are an excellent eater and eat baby food three times a day, usually two containers at a time.



Kindergarten Turkey Project

Cason had a project this weekend for school.

He decided to disguise his turkey as a deer hunter hiding in a deer stand. He worked very hard for several hours on his turkey. The turkey is wearing camo overalls and has camo paint on his tail feathers!

Favorite Character Day at School

The Scholastic Book Fair was at school this week and on Wednesday the entire school dressed as their favorite character from a book. It was wild that morning when I dropped the kids off at school!

Emory and her friend Olivia who dressed as Laura Ingalls. The kids had a blast and each came home with two new books.

7 Months Old

Eli Grant you turned 7 Months old yesterday!

You are such a happy baby! You are always smiling and have the cutest little laugh. You are very easy going as long as your belly is full and enjoy people watching when out and about. You LOVE your pacifier and can now put it in your mouth all by yourself. 

You are still wearing size 6-9 and 9 months clothes and a size 3 diaper. You are sitting very well and have started to pull up onto your knees. You are a strong little boy! You are getting up on all fours and are so close to crawling. Even though you are not crawling just yet, you have mastered the art of scooting and it doesn't take you long to get to whatever you are after. You still have two teeth with two more on the way. This week you have been drooling and chewing on your fingers constantly so I feel like they are close to poking through.

You are an excellent eater! You eat baby food three times a day and usually have two containers at a time. Your favorites are peas & sweet corn, pears, cinnamon, & oatmeal, and apples & blueberry. You have started to sleep through the night more often and usually go to sleep between 8:00 and 8:30 and sleep to between 4:00 and 5:00.
