Emory's Birthday Bash

This year we celebrated Emory's birthday with a small family party. Emory asked for Subway sandwiches and chips so that is what we ate for lunch.
She picked out and designed her cake/cupcake combo herself. She went with pink camo and purple tiara's of course! She also oversaw the placement of the candles.
Opening presents.
She loved the bacon card Cason picked out for her.
Eli had fun at the party!
Cason had a great time too!
Cason gave Emory crutches and a cast for her American girl doll. She LOVED them. I think it won the prize as her favorite gift!

Happy 8th Birthday

Happy 8th Birthday Emory Grace!!
It seems like just yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital and today you turned eight. Where has the time gone! You have grown into a sweet, smart, silly, and slightly dramatic young girl (you would have a cow if I wrote little girl). You love the outdoors, animals, drawing, and playing games. You are very driven and a hard worker, but sometimes your drive causes you to be to hard on yourself. You are a great big sister and love your brothers even when they are driving you crazy. Your favorite phrases right now are Seriously and Geez Louise. You still love stick together mac-n-cheese. Other favorites include roast with rice and gravy, brisket, ribs, and baked potatoes. Your favorite television shows are Full House and The Thundermans.
Happy Birthday sweet girl, Mommy and Daddy love you!

2nd Quarter Report Cards

Emory and Cason brought home their report cards on Friday. They both continue to do well in school.
I got tickled where Emory's teacher noted under the Math comments that she loves to be a leader!
Cason continues to be a helper at school. He has started to learn to read and is doing great! He is all about spelling words these days.

9 Month Check-Up

Eli had his 9 month check-up yesterday, which ended up being a sick baby appointment as well. He has had a nasty stomach bug all week. He weighed 19.2 lbs (46 %) and is 28 3/4 inches (64 %). He didn't really gain any weight since his weight check at 7 months but Moriah feels that is due to his having been sick. He hasn't kept much in or eaten much this week. We started a probiotic yesterday so hopefully he will start to feel better soon. Other then the bug he had a great check-up. Moriah feels he will have 4 new teeth soon, then maybe we can get a little break from all the drool. Despite being sick Eli learned to walk holding on to something this week. He now thinks he is a speed racer! He walked across our bedroom and into the bathroom yesterday pushing the little car.
He thinks he's BIG STUFF!!

9 Months Old

Eli Grant you are 9 months old today!
You are such a happy baby with the sweetest smile! You are now wearing a size 4 diaper and size 9 and 12 month clothes. I feel like you weigh between 20 and 21 pounds. You can say mama, baba, and hi and have really started to talk to us, we just don't know what you are saying yet!
You are everywhere and into everything. You love doors, drawers, and door stoppers!! You can get up on all fours and crawl but seem to prefer the army crawl method to get to places. You are very fast too and have started to venture into other rooms!  You are pulling up on everything and standing with assistance.
Eli, you love watching Emory and Cason and think they are both pretty funny. Your favorite toys right now are your cube, new farm puzzle, and blocks. You have really enjoyed playing with all your new toys you got for Christmas.
You have started to eat table foods (peas, green beans, & black eyed peas) and stage 3 baby food. You also LOVE your melts and puffs. You enjoy your food!
Happy 9 Months Sweetie we all love you very much!!

Santa Claus

After several years of not wanting to see Santa, Emory and Cason decided they both would while we were at Great Wolf Lodge for Maddie's birthday. I really thought Eli would cry as soon as I sat him down but he did great.  Cason was a little nervous but he went right up and talked to Santa. I think it helped that they all three went together.
