16 Months Old

Eli Grant you are 16 months old!
You love cups with straws, balls, food, peek-a-boo, and brushing your teeth. You are not a fan of not getting your way! You have become quite the expert at throwing tantrums. You spend most of your time trying to keep up with your Bubba and Sissy. You absolutely adore them and want to do everything they are doing.
You are wearing 18 month clothes, a size 5 diaper and size 4 shoe. You are into everything and are always on the go. You know your nose, ears, mouth and belly button and like to play the "where's my ____" game.
You also love to load, unload and shut the dishwasher. Lids are another favorite of yours. I find them all over the house. You love music and usually clap your hands to songs in the car. You are quite the clown as well. We love you very much Eli.

Emory's and Buttermilk's First Show

Last night Emory showed Buttermilk in their first show at the Tyler County Fair Grounds. The show started at 7:15 pm but because of over 100 pigs (they went first) Emory didn't show until around 10:45 pm.
Daddy and Emory making Buttermilk pretty before the show.
Emory all dressed up and ready to show!
Emory and Buttermilk
Bradley and I were very proud of how well Emory did! Buttermilk behaved himself too!
There were 10 goats in Emory's class. These 4 goats were pulled out and then the judge really took his time in choosing the winner. Emory and  Buttermilk got 2nd place in their class. The girl in the maroon shirt won. She also won class 2 and 3. She was a pro per Emory who was pretty proud she was second to a pro goat shower!
These two cowboys were troopers!
This cowboy took a little nap while we waited for Emory to show. He woke-up a little before she showed and cheered her on! He pointed and said sissy the whole time! Emory had a great time and learned a lot. She wants to back in August when they have another one!

Little Chef

Last week I was trying to cook dinner but Eli had other ideas. I gave him a spoon thinking he would entertain himself with it for a few minutes but he immediately went to the stove and tried to cook! Smart boy! Needless to say he helped me cook dinner!!

15 Month Check-up

Last week Eli had his 15 month check-up. He weighed 25.8 pounds (86 %) and is 32 inches tall (77%). He had to get two shots but did not cry one tear. His big brother was very impressed! He passed all his milestones and had a good check-up!

15 Months Old

Happy 15 months Eli Grant!!
You are such a happy little guy! You are talking up a storm these days. You have added several new words this month including Bubba, phone, all done, and stinky.
You love food just like your momma! You are still an excellent eater and still love your fruit and veggies! You are mostly wearing 18 month clothes but still have a few 12 months that fit. You are in a size 4 shoe. You slept through the night two nights in a row this month and I thought just maybe your nights of waking up were over, but I thought wrong and you haven't slept all night since.
You make the cutest little faces and are very observant. Your understanding of things has taken off this month and you are now following instructions, like bring it to me or put down something. You love playing with your Sissy and Bubba. Your favorite game to play with them right now is with the lightsabers. You are pretty good at it too!
Your other favorite thing right now is to carry this bottle of Kitchen Bouquet around the house. I do not know why you like it so much!
You may be getting to be a big boy but you still like to cuddle with your Momma and you still love your Doe Doe!

Meet Buttermilk

This year Emory is old enough to show animals at the fair and Bradley decided she could show a goat. Meet Buttermilk!
Maddie spent the week with us last week and she couldn't wait to wash and blow dry Buttermilk. She did a great job and worked very hard!

Maddie wanted to take her picture with Buttermilk but he didn't want to look at the camera!

Blueberry Festival 2017

This year we didn't get to the blueberry festival until after lunch so we decided not to do the water slides and just check out the other activities. Cason and Emory both had a blast on the obstacle course. They each ran it several times.
They each got to pick two activities to do and of course Emory choose the rock wall.
Eli liked watching Emory climb! She made it all the way to the top without hesitation. She was a natural!
They both had to do these bounce balls. They had a blast running into each other! They also each tried the giant hamster wheel.
Cason next rode the train!
Ford had this virtual simulator truck that simulated driving through bumpy terrain. It rocked side to side and went up and down.
Cason was not in a good mood and this was the best he would give me!
