A couple of weeks ago the kids had Fictional Character Day at school. Let me introduce to you Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, & Anne of Green Gables.

FBC Fall Fest
The Wednesday before Halloween was Fall Fest at church. Eli went as a chicken farmer and Cason as Bradley. Emory didn't dress up officially, but unofficially she is a pumpkin. My other two children wanted to be in the picture as well, the refused to leave.
My little chicken farmer!
Cason choose a squash over candy at one of the trunk or treats!
We had lots of fun with friends!!
PWF 2021
The Piney Woods Fair was a few weeks ago. Emory showed chickens and her lamb Mac and Cason showed chickens and his goat Sasquatch. Eli participated in goat Peewee showmanship all by himself!
Cason bid on a hog trap, but he got out bid at the Ag Mech sale. We were able to buy a deer stand at the sale though!
Eli bid on these chairs, but he too was out bid. He was just excited to write his name on the bid sheet.
The new deer stand!
Both Emory and Cason made the premium sale with their chickens/goat/lamb.
Eli showing Sasquatch during Peewee showmanship! He did a great job.
Cason and Emory in the ring during the premium sale.
The premium sale was long and Eli didn't quite make it to the end!
We didn't win any banners or buckles this year at the fair, but both kids did a great job and had lots of fun! We also were very fortunate to have all 4 animals make the sale and the kids each earned a lot of money for their college fund!

Junior High Soccer
Emory finished up her JH soccer season at the tournament on October 7th. They did not have a great year in the wins category and had to make many adjustments with one of their key players sidelined for the season due to injury, however they grew as a team and had lots of fun. They ended up coming in 3rd at the end of season tournament. I think Emory played every position at some point this season but goalie.

Johnny Appleseed Day
Eli dressed up as Johnny Appleseed a few weeks ago to celebrate Johnny Appleseed's birthday! The entire class dressed up and paraded throughout the school singing the Johnny Appleseed song they had learned. Eli said he had fun! He looked awfully cute too!
Magnolia Market
While in Waco we went and checked out the Magnolia Market and Silo's. We played a few games, did a little shopping and looked around. It was so hot out and after about an hour we were ready to leave and cool off.
The sun was too bright for open eyes!
Back at the hotel the kids cooled off by going swimming at the pool and then we went to dinner at Cracker Barrel and did a little sightseeing before heading back to the hotel. It was great to go somewhere for a few days and I think everyone had fun!
