She's a Mess

Saturday morning Emory decided to relocate the laundry I was folding to the kitchen floor and wear one of her daddy's socks! She looked like something out of an 80's exercise video.
Then she decided that she needed the camera and came after it.
After that she decided that she needed to wear my flip flops with her daddy's socks!
She got a little carried away walking in the flip flops and nearly did the splits.
Emory has also become interested in bows and HAS to pick one out to wear after she gets dressed. She picked this one out today! It was a little big and did not stay in her hair well.
She was watching cartoons!
Apparently something mighty funny was going on in that clubhouse. She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!
She was telling me Donald Duck, she loves to say Donald Duck, she thinks its funny!
Here she is making funny faces at me in her rocking chair. I found her just sitting in her rocking chair in her room! I think she was proud of herself for climbing in it all by herself.

Walking In High Heels

Last night Emory found my heels and of course she wanted to wear them. And wear them she did, all over the house. She clunked and clamoured her way all over the house in those things. I was really surprised at how well she was able to walk in them and how long she kept them on!

15 Months

Emory turned 15 months old last Thursday and I am fairly certain my baby has turned into a sassy little girl full of hugs and kisses. She is an absolute mess and knows it. I love watching her explore, play and learn. She is so funny and the things she comes up with amaze me sometimes. Emory had her 15 month check-up yesterday and weighed 20 pounds 2 ounces! I was so glad she finally reached 20 pounds, she had her clothes on when they weighed her so I am not sure she is really 20 pounds, but we will take it. She is still moseying along in the 12th percentile in weight, but cruised up to the 75th percentile in height at 31.25 inches. She grew 2 inches since her 12 month check-up, needless to say I was surprised! Emory has added several new words in the last month to her vocabulary, her favorite being quack quack. She is also saying cup cup, tractor, cracker, cheese, shoe, socky (sock), bathy (bath), flower and Aflac (She likes the commercials)…hmm that is all I can think of at the moment. She is voicing her opinion more and more and loves to learn new words. She loves to be outside and throws a fit whenever she has to come inside. She is also quite the little helper. She loves to pick up her toys, throw things in the trash, and put her dirty clothes in her dirty clothes basket. She is always going full speed ahead and typically only slows down for a nap! Thank goodness she is still taking 2 of those a day.
What a mess!
She was "talking" on my cell phone!
She likes to cheer!
Trying to snap. She is fascinated with snapping.
This face cracked me up!
Loving her animals.
Emory loves to sit on the couch like a big girl. Yesterday she wanted her animals to join her!
Her hair is really getting long, here she is Sunday with a ponytail!

Brmm Brmm

My parents came for a visit this weekend and brought Emory this little car or brmm brmm as Emory called it. She loved it! Saturday morning we went to the SFA plant sale and than had a mini crawfish & shrimp boil that evening. Emory played all afternoon outside and was so DIRTY I had to take her clothes off outside due to the amount of sand she was wearing. She had a blast though! She drove her car around, played in the sand with her pail and shovels, and went for rides in her wagon.

One Dog Two Dog Three Dog Four

Emory's first word, not including dada was dog. She loves dogs and every animal except a duck is a dog. Side note: Emory has learned to quack like a duck, but that is another story. She has four stuffed animals that are dogs and has really started to play with them lately. The funny thing is she HAS to play with all four at the same time and always keeps them grouped together. So last night after her bath she started to playing with her dogs. As I watched her play I had to go get the camera because she was cracking me up!
She HAS to hold them ALL at the same time.
This is a real ordeal because she has a hard time holding them all and walking.
Once she was able to hang on to them all, she walked over to her chair, set them in it and sat on them. She is looking at me for approval, which she does when she is proud of herself!
Then she just sat there for a while and played and talked to her dogs. She sure was telling them something. I even think one dog got in trouble!
Disciplining dogs is tiresome. I thought this picture was sweet!
Then she decided she needed a sip of milk and headed to the kitchen with all four dogs in tow. After a few sips of milk she was off again.
She then put them all in a line on the fireplace. Sometimes I wish I knew what she was thinking.
She was telling me dog.

Bunny Ears

Last year I found these bunny ears and decided to start a little tradition where I take Emory's picture in them each year at Easter.
Here she was last year wearing her ears....
and here she is this year! What a difference a year makes!
She was more enthused with what was on TV then with wearing her bunny ears.
I think Emory had fun this Easter and by next year will be an old pro at hunting those eggs!

Easter Sunday

Emory woke up Sunday morning and checked out what the Easter bunny had brought her. I think she was excited!
Running to her basket!
Since she loves wearing my heels so much, the Easter bunny brought her a pair of her own.
Here she is trying them on!
She also got her very own broom set, a pair of shorts, and a talking Easter egg. Now maybe Mommy can sweep without a major melt down!
Here she is waving bye bye. She was all dressed up and ready to go to church.
Daddy & Emory before church.
Then after church we went over to Bradley's parents house for lunch and an Easter egg hunt.
Emory took a few eggs with her to church in her purse.
She loves purses!
Then later that afternoon it was time to "hunt" eggs or in Emory's case gather eggs! She had a blast.
