Round Up Sunday

Today was Round Up Sunday at church and Emory moved up to the Pre-K class. Cason is still in the 2 year old class but there are a couple of new helpers working in his class that he got to meet. Bradley and I worked the welcome desk in the children's building this morning so I got to see all the kids in their western duds! They were all so adorable and of course Ms. Melanie had everything decorated so cute! Plus all the toddlers got a cowboy hat so Cason was thrilled. His hat looks just like the one on the cow below and he wore it all morning! He loves a cowboy hat!

The picture quality is horrible, but it is the only one I could get with Cason smiling!

The Quirks of Cason

Bradley told me the other day that he thinks Cason is going to be a comedian when he grows up. He is definitely a hoot and he loves to make people laugh! He has this deep voice that he does that just cracks me up and his trade mark saying is "HELLO EVERYBODY!"
Other favorite sayings include ALL ABOARD and SUPERMAN! He will run full speed through the house yelling superman at the top of his lungs.
BIG CHEESE!
He has a kitty cat act that he does where he pretends to be a kitty cat. He has this little voice that he uses and he does his hands and arms like a sneaky cat. He thinks he is hysterical. He is such a mess!
Cason only knows two sizes, BIG and baby. Everything from hay bales to trucks to belly buttons to buses is either BIG or baby. For those of you wondering, a baby bus would be a van!  He also calls baseball/softball softy ball and likes watching it on TV. He loves to sing his BIBLE songs as he calls them, which mainly consists of Joy Joy Joy (Down in my Heart) and Yes Sir (I'm in the Lords Army).
He loves boots. He calls his John Deere boots his hay baling boots because he associates them with John Deere tractors and tractors bale hay of course. Cason also LOVES to watch You Tube videos which he calls Big Tractor Dump Truck movies. He watches tractors baling hay, dump trucks, log trucks being loaded, and skidders. He loves all things trucks and tractors. He also loves money and usually has a few coins in his hands or pockets.
Cason is silly and funny but just as equally sweet and kind. He has a big personality that I just love, plus he gives the best little boy hugs in the whole world!

Of course Emory's favorite part of the day was playing outside on the park (playground). She had a great day and I am happy she wants to go back!

Corpus Christi Part 2

This afternoon we headed to the beach. We first went to North Beach which is just a few minutes from our hotel but it was infested with jelly fish. They were everywhere, on the beach and in the water. Thankfully the good Lord was watching over Emory and Bradley who were all ready in the water before I noticed all the little visitors and no one was stung. We then packed up and headed back to Padre Island which is just a twenty minute drive from our hotel.
Thankfully there were no jelly fish there and the kids had a blast swimming and making sand castles.
Padre Island or Upper Padre as it is also called is pretty. It isn't Florida but much better then Galveston....the water actually looks blue.
We of course saw seagulls as well as several pelicans (those are pelicans flying in the picture). I enjoyed watching them dive down for food.
My silly little man!

We had a great time at the beach this afternoon. It was not crowded or full of crazed party goers, it was actually very peaceful and calm, which is the way I like it!
