19 Months Old

Eli Grant you are 19 months old today!
You are an absolute hoot! You love to laugh and make others laugh. You are curious, hard headed, and a real charmer. You also love to help! You insisted on carrying the Belk bag the other day.
You are wearing size 18 to 24 months clothes and a size 5 diaper and shoe. Your vocabulary continues to grow and there isn't much that gets past you. You are very observant.
You adore Emory and Cason and want to do everything they are doing. You love being out and about, riding in shopping carts, driving the mule, brushing your teeth, and riding on your car. You are not one to sit still for long.
We love you very much and are so very thankful for you!

8 3/4 quarters

Emory picked up an educational activity book for kids at the fair on saying no to smoking. After you completed the book there was a certificate to fill out. I got so tickled when I saw Emory's age. She is NOT 8 folks!

Your Grandma

    Emory, Cason & Eli,

Friday, October 20, 2017 your grandmother lost her battle with cancer. That morning on the way to school the sky was pink, purple, and orange. It was so pretty that we decided to pull over and take a picture. We had no idea that Grandma was as sick as she was that morning. About thirty minutes later Pawpaw would call and tell me that Grandma was not doing well. Around 2:30 that afternoon she got really sick and we headed to M.D. Anderson to tell her goodbye. It was one of the hardest days of my life. I want each of you to know that she loved you very much. She loved watching you grow and taking you new places. She loved listening to your stories and buying you pretty things. She loved being your grandmother.

Rides, Rides & More Rides

Friday evening we headed back to the fair to ride a few rides.
Eli's first ride on a merry-go-round. He loved it and loves rides.
The car ride was his favorite! He did not want to get off.

The kids had a blast at the fair this year but all 3 were worn out from all the activities and fun!

Field Trip to Moore Farm

Last Tuesday Cason's class had a field trip to Moore Farms in Bullard, TX. This was Cason last year to visit the pumpkin patch with the school. Eli and I tagged along too! I think Eli had more fun than Cason! He was everywhere and into everything.
My big pumpkin! I am not allowed to call him little.
Here is my little pumpkin. Don't let the fact that he is sitting still fool you this was a rare occurrence.

This is my favorite picture. Eli insisted on being part of the group!
Learning about pumpkins!
Silly goose!
I took doe doe out of his mouth. He didn't like it.
Playing and swimming in the corn.
Cason wanted his picture taken with the cow.
Cason's first grade class
Eli and his spread. He enjoyed the picnic too!

PWF Market Goal Show & Sale

The Pineywoods Fair was this week and Emory participated in her first market goat show! She did an excellent  job, Buttermilk on the other hand was little upset that Emory was interrupting  his nap time and didn't want to walk. Emory was in the 2nd class and placed 2nd. She ended up 5th overall and made the sale!!
Emory doing her thing in the ring.
The animal sale was last night. Emory sold 23 in the sale and Borders bought her goat. She was super excited.
After the goat sale Cason participated in Pee Wee Showmanship. He did a great job handling Buttermilk who was still refusing to walk. Cason can't wait to show a goat!!

While Cason showed Eli worked on a chain!

18 Month Check-up

Eli had his 18 month check-up this morning. While waiting to be called back he enjoyed the magazines in the waiting room!
He weighed 26.4 pounds (78%) and is 33 inches tall (68%). He gained nearly a pound and grew an inch since his 15 month appointment in July. He was not in a good mood this morning and did not want to get examined at all. He pitched quite the fit. He got his flu shot today and a sticker which he was too mad to appreciate.
