Trip to the zoo

This afternoon we took the kids to The Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin. Mimi, Peepaw, Aunt Rachel, and Mckenzie went too!
Emory was silly with excitement!!
This was as close as she would get to the big snake! She thinks snakes are yucky.
Emory checking out all the animals.
One of the toucan's
There are many peacocks that roam freely throughout the zoo.
Emory looking for the baby giraffe.
The giraffe's are my favorite.
Emory likes the giraffe's alot too!
Cason was super good the whole time we were there. He just relaxed and enjoyed the ride!
Mckenzie pointing out the lions. She's in the "Vanna White" pose!
The "daddy" lion as Emory called him! You can see the "mommy" lion peeking out from behind the log.
She later came to the glass to check us out! I guess she was not too impressed with us because she mosied right back over to her log and laid back down. Ha!
A row of turtles.
Can you find the two peacocks in the tree? (may have to click to enlarge)
It is a little unnerving to discover two big birds perched high over your head.
Emory liked the pink flamingos!
Here she is standing on one leg like the flamingos!
Emory checking out the monkey's! She said they were her favorite but I somehow forgot to get a picture.

After we finished looking at all the animals Rachel, Mckenzie, Emory and I rode the train.
Emory saying choo choo!

Emory and Cason had a wonderful time at the zoo!
