Our Two Little Ones
Things around our house are finally starting to resemble some sort of normalcy. We are getting the hang of having 2 little ones and I am learning to just let some things go. Like last night when Emory decided to relocate her potty chair from her bathroom to the living room and then proceeded to try and use it. I was feeding Cason at the time and Bradley was outside mowing, so I just went with it. Thankfully she decided that the potty chair could return to its rightful spot in the bathroom. Emory's new favorite phrase is "that's silly." Everything and everyone is silly these days. She also wants every toy she sees on TV commercials and she is just barely 2! She is doing really well with having a new brother and has not had a major meltdown in several days.
Cason is a very laid back go with the flow baby. He is a great eater, sleeps well, and does not mind just hanging out in his bouncy chair, which is the complete opposite of Emory at this age. He is also very strong and rolled over at just one week old. Granted it was an assisted roll over as he was laying on a pillow, but he still rolled. He can also scoot really well and turned a 180 degree turn one day last week. We go for his two week appointment on Monday and fully expect him to weigh 10lbs. When he was born my doctor called him a little line backer as he delivered him. I know he is a big baby, but he still seems small to me.
I tried to take some pictures of him this week because I feel like I am already slacking in that department with Cason compared to Emory and I am determined not to let that happen.
He is such a rollie pollie!
His eyes are still a smokey grey blue color. I really feel like they will turn brown eventually, just because they are such a deep dark blue.

5 Days Old
Cason is 5 days old today and had his first doctors visit. He weighs 9 lbs 2 ounces and is 21 inches long. He still has a touch of jaundice but nothing to get concerned about and got a great report from Dr. Huggins. So far he continues to be a very easy going baby. He sleeps well which is a huge blessing and is a big eater. Our first night home was a bit of an ordeal due to Emory having stomach issues and getting sick 10 plus times during the night and early morning. By lunch yesterday she was feeling much better and wanting to eat and play and has not had any trouble since. Hopefully no one else will get whatever bug she had. She is adjusting really well to having a brother. We have had a couple of meltdowns and moments of jealousy but overall she has done extremely well and has been a big help! I decided to try and take some pictures of Cason this afternoon, however he had other ideas.
After a break I was able to take a few pictures. He has the cutest chubby cheeks, just like a little chipmunk!

Sisterly Love
Emory is being a great big sister. She is already very protective of Cason and gets very concerned when the nurses come and take him to the nursery for his check-ups. She has been wanting to hold him all morning and refers to him as HER brother or HER baby and I dare anyone to tell her differently. Cason is doing great and so far is a very easy going baby. His jaundice scan came back showing he had a slight case and now we are waiting on the blood results. If it confirms the scan results then he will have to spend some time under the lights. The nurse just came in and the blood test results were lower than the scan, so no lights for Cason.

Introducing.....
Cason Bradley Cobb. Cason was born at 7:36 this morning and weighed a whopping 9 lbs 6.5 ounces and is 20.5 inches long. He has light brown hair and smokey blue eyes (at least for now). So far Cason is very laid back and just perfect. Emory has been very caring and a great big sister! She has also been well behaved today.

Park Fun
Saturday after the azalea garden we took Emory to the park. After a quick outfit change she was off. She had fun sliding, swinging, climbing, and kicking the bark around. After a while of playing she announced that she needed ice cream. So at 10:30 we left and headed to get some ice cream. Now we usually don't eat ice cream in the morning or afternoon for that matter, but we decided to treat her to some. So off to Sonic we went to get ice cream. After the ice cream we headed home and Emory was so worn out she fell asleep on the way home.

Spring is Here
Ok, so officially spring does not begin until tomorrow evening, but in East Texas it is in full swing. We took Emory to the azalea garden this morning. She had fun walking around and looking at all the pretty flowers, plus I was able to get some cute pictures. I was a bit hesitant as to whether or not she was going to cooperate this year, but for the most part she did great.

Who needs toys?
Who needs toys, when you have a new double stroller to play with. A friend of mine sold me her old double stroller for a fantastic price, especially since it is in such great condition. Needless to say it kept Emory entertained for hours this weekend. She pushed her babies around in it, climbed it, watched TV in it, and picked out her and her brothers seat. She has it ALL figured out!
