Family Turkey Project

Emory had a homework assignment this weekend, the family turkey project, which involved us disguising her turkey so it will safely make it past Thanksgiving. We discussed several disguises including a baby duck and a M & M candy, but ended up disguising our turkey as a package. We have been getting quite a few packages in the mail lately thanks to online shopping for Christmas, plus Emory and Cason both like getting things in the mail, especially big packages!
Meet Amazon the disguised turkey!
Emory did a good job coloring and gluing all the packing noodles on! Hopefully Amazon's disguise will work and she will safely make it past Thanksgiving!

Cobb Thanksgiving 2013

Today we had Thanksgiving at Mimi and Peepaw's house and I took a few pictures of the kids.
 Cason 2 years old
 Mckenzie 3 years old
 Emory 4 years old
Lincoln 9 months old
Emory and Mckenzie
Emory and I decided a few weeks ago that the picture of Mckenzie and her from about three years ago that is in her room needed to be updated. So after several tries I was able to get the above picture. They are both looking at the camera and smiling...we will take it!
Mckenzie loving on her baby brother!
Emory giving baby Lincoln some loves too. She always calls him baby Lincoln!
Emory's hat! She was being silly.
And my silly little boy! Cason has not been at 100% this weekend. He has had a runny nose and the sneezes for a few days and today he has been very tired. He slept for 3.5 hours this afternoon and then started feeling bad after dinner and wanted to come home. Hopefully he will get to feeling better soon. Not being at 100% did not stop him from having a good time playing with his sister and cousins! They all had a grand ole time playing and being silly.

School Picture- Pre- K

Emory brought home her school pictures this week. She looks so grown up to me.

Busy Busy Weekend

It has been a very busy weekend. Friday night Emory's school had a Fall Festival and the kids were asked to dress as a Disney character. Emory went as a Disney princess because that is what we had! Emory had a blast playing with her friends, jumping, and sliding in the bounce houses.
She also enjoyed the cupcakes!
Then Saturday she had two birthday parties to attend. The first one was in the morning at one of Emory's favorite parks. I was fearful it was going to get rained out but thankfully the rain held off just long enough for the kids to have a good time.
Emory was too busy playing with her friends to pause for a picture or at least one with a real smile! Cason tagged along too and enjoyed playing at the park. He loved these tires!
I just love this picture for some reason! He was just taking it all in. Then yesterday evening we headed to Emory's friend Andi Beth's birthday party, which included a cook out and hay ride.

Cason and Cooper all ready for the hay ride! And yes they both have hay in their hair.
Emory waiting on the hay ride to start. She was so excited because last year we had to leave Andi Beth's party early and she did not get to go on the hay ride. Needless to say she has not FORGOT about it. We have had a busy but great weekend and I am looking forward to my day off tomorrow!

Mother Nature

My mums this year have been beautiful. I planted these two last year and managed to keep them alive all year. They have been in full bloom for about a month now and are huge.
I hope they continue to grow and thrive and I can keep them living for a few more years!
November is here which means Bradley's game cameras have been capturing pictures for a few weeks now. So far we have seen birds, raccoons, hogs, deer, rabbits, rats, and foxes on the cameras.
This bad boy has been the largest to date. He hung around and ate for several hours.
And Bradley is hoping this guy returns this weekend during the day!

Fall Feast 2013

Tonight we went to the Fall Festival at church. Emory changed her mind at the last minute and for some reason decided she wanted to go as a cheerleader. So her butterfly/fairy (she has been going back and forth on which one she would be for months) outfit stayed in the closet and cheerleader she was.
Cason ONLY wanted to be a cowboy. I tried and tried to talk him into something else since he was a cowboy last year, but he was NOT having it.
Cason was not in the picture taking mood so I was not able to get a picture of the two of them together, plus he would only sit in this chair. I was hoping to get a good picture at church but then left my phone in the car and did not feel like battling the flood that was taking place outside to go and get it. The kids had a blast playing games and bouncing in the bounce houses and both came home with lots of goodies!

Breaking News

This morning while eating a yummy waffle for breakfast Emory discovered that she has a loose tooth. She eagerly yelled, "Mommy my tooth is wiggling," and sure enough it was. She is super excited and can't wait for it to come out so she can put it under her pillow.
So now we are counting down the days until it is loose enough to be pulled. She informed me tonight that I needed to buy apples because they help your loose teeth come out. She has requested the big red ones! I can't believe my little girl is already loosing a tooth. I was not expecting this until at least another year, but she did get her first tooth at 4 months so I guess I should have anticipated that she would lose them early too! Emory on the other hand feels she is officially a big kid now!
