Pineywoods Fair 2018

Last week was the Pineywoods Fair, it was long, fun and tiresome. Emory and Snickerdoodle, AKA Doodle, competed in the goat show. Doodle was in the 3rd class and finished 7th. Unfortunately we didn't make the sale this year. Emory then participated in Junior Showmanship and won Grand Champion!! We are so proud of her! Before the judge announced Emory as the winner, he talked to the Senior Showmen and said he hoped they graduate soon, because a young lady in the Junior class may just kick their booty if they are still in the Senior Division in a few years!

Emory won a beautiful belt buckle and some cash, she is tickled pink! 

After Junior Showmanship Cason participated in the Peewee Showmanship and did a great job showing Doodle! Cason won a blue ribbon and $5.00!

All in all we had a good fair this year! 

2 1/2 Years Old

Eli turned 2 1/2 years old on Saturday. He had his check-up yesterday and weighed 29.4 pounds (45%) and was 37.5 inches (86%) tall. He grew 2 inches and gained 2 pounds since his 2 year check-up. 

Eli sleeps with a mommy shirt just like his big brother! He still isn't a sleeper and usually wakes and gets into bed with me at some point during the night. He talks a lot during his sleep so maybe he wakes himself up. He is wearing a size 2T and size 7 shoe! 

He loves all things farm! Tractors, backhoe dig digs, hay rakes, hay balers, goats and moos are a few of his favorites. Playing in the goat pin is fun too!

He also loves playing nerf guns with Cason and Emory. His favorite cartoon his Puppy Dog Pals (Wuf Wufs) and has also started showing an interest in Paw Patrol. Mickmey (Mickey Mouse) is still a contender as well! 

He is not a fan of taking pictures these days. This is usually what you get when you try. 

He is quite the talker and asks a lot of questions! Why seems to be favorite your word. Some of my favorite sayings these day are: O Tay (okay), Momma it sure be nice (followed by something he is wanting), I know, and huree momma huree (hurry). Eli your are very funny like your brother and don't miss much like your sister. You love the outdoors and laugh a lot. You like to help work and love tools. 

Happy Birthday Copper

Copper turned 1 year old on September 22nd. Emory bought him several doggie treats and Cason made a card. I have tried for 2 weeks to take a picture of Copper, but every time he tries to lick my phone. I thought Cason's rhyme was cute!

First Day of School

Today was the first day of school, Cason started 2nd grade and Emory 4th. They were both up bright and early and eager to go. I even came out of my bedroom and found Cason sitting on the bench with his sign waiting to take his picture!  I didn't even have to ask!!

I pray this is a year of maturing for him and that he stays out of the principles office. He is quite the class clown and talker! 

I pray she learns not to be so hard on herself this year when it comes to her school work and that it is okay to make a B. .

Someone was a little sleepy this morning. 

Eli insisted on getting paper too when we went to Hobby Lobby and picked out a Mickey Mouse one. His says: 2 Years Old & I Know Everything!

Little Visitor

This little green hummingbird has been hanging around the back porch and yard this past week. He is very curious and quick! We have enjoyed watching him or her!!
