Second Trip to the Dentist

Bradley took Emory to the dentist yesterday and as we suspected she already has her bottom two molars and the dentist said the top two are starting to come in as well. So at barely 2 she already has 2 of her permanent teeth. I don't know why I am surprised since she had all of her baby teeth at barely 1. The dentist also said to start using kid toothpaste instead of toddler toothpaste, that was a little depressing to hear, just one more thing that proves she is a big girl now. Bradley said that when they left Emory told him, "no home, dentist." So apparently Emory did not mind going even though she was not particularly found of getting her teeth cleaned.

This is what I got when I told her to smile and show me her pretty clean teeth. I think this face says it all. Did I mention she was 2 and yes full of attitude!

Cowboys and Cupcakes

Emory has played with this old cowboy hat of Bradley's since she was little, and came across is again Sunday morning. She calls it "cowboy" that's it just cowboy no hat. So after she put cowboy on she immediately had an ah ha moment and then ran into her room shouting horsee horsee. She then proceeded to giddy-up all over the house with her horsee and cowboy.

Then she decided that her horsee need to eat so she stopped and fed him.

Here she is feeding her horsee.
Then he needed water so here she is giving him water.
She played and played until she decided that her horsee needed a nap. So she then put cowboy on his head and laid him on the couch and told me shh horsee night night. WHAT A MESS!
Later that afternoon Emory and I made cupcakes for her Valentine's Party at Ms. Betty's. Here is how Emory helped!
My little dishwasher enjoyed herself!

And these are the cupcakes Emory took yesterday to her party along with her Valentines!

Catch Up

I am a bit behind on my blogging so I decided to play catch up today. Last Saturday Emory woke up with fever and a cold. So our weekend was pretty uneventful because she did not feel good. Then Monday morning Bradley and I both woke up feeling crummy and had caught her cold. By the time we were feeling better the ice and snow started to fall and Friday ended up being a snow/ice day, which was fine by me! I needed a long weekend. So yesterday we just relaxed and watched it snow! In pregnancy news, I am really starting to feel tired again. I have also been having contractions and pressure and I am convinced Cason is coming earlier than our March 28th scheduled c-section. I go to the doctor again on Monday and will be 33 weeks on Thursday. These last 6 weeks are going to be the hardest!

Emory insist's that she has to have water in her sink. So here she is just before she decided her teddy bear needed a bath, which she gave him just after I took this picture.

The snow had just started to come down. We had ice before that which is what you see in this picture on the deck/ground.

Emory being tall, this is her new thing to be tall. She stands on her piano stool and proclaims that she is tall.

Pig tails & bows

Emory doing her "Dora" she is saying Swiper no swiping. Then she does Swiper's part and say "oh man." Too cute!

Naughty Creativity

You may be wondering what a purple doll shoe, a sippy cup of milk, and a $0.49 paintbrush that Ms. Emory had to have from the hardware store all have in common.

Last Sunday morning while I was taking a 7 am nap (Emory woke up at 5:30 both Saturday and Sunday morning bright eyed and bushy tailed, plus she also woke up several times during the night, so Mama was tired) and Bradley was making her breakfast, Emory decided that the coffee table needed to be painted. She proceeded to pour milk from her sippy cup into the purple doll shoe and then use her paintbrush to paint the coffee table. She had also showcased her artistic abilities Saturday afternoon by coloring all over her slide with crayons. When I asked her what she was doing she told me in a "well duh" tone of voice, "coloring mommy." So now we are learning the correct places to color and paint!

2 year check-up

Yesterday Emory had her 2 year check up. She weighed 24lbs (16th percentile) on the dot and was 35.75 (92nd percentile) inches tall. Her doctor could not believe how tall she had grown since her 18 month check-up and we both joked about how this was the first time she has been above the 50th percentile in anything and it was in height! I am not sure where she is getting it from but we will take it. She passed her hearing test and her routine blood work came back normal. She had to get two shots which she did not like at all, but McDonald’s nuggets and French fries tried her tears quickly! She is really good at milking her bobo’s.

Such a little priss!

On the go with her baby doll, diaper bag, doggie and I believe Dot is in there somewhere too.

Happy 2nd Birthday Emory

Saturday we celebrated Emory’s second birthday with a small party with family. Emory had a great time playing with her new toys, her birthday balloons, and princess tiara. She was definitely a princess for the day! Thank you everybody for coming to celebrate her special day with us!

Pigtails

This morning I decided to put Emory's hair in pigtails since she was being somewhat cooperative and not insisting on brushing and fixing her hair all by herself. I have not put her hair in pigtails much because she has a tricky cowlick and it is hard to part her hair down the middle. Her hair is really long also which makes her look so grown up to me. So here she is just before leaving for Ms. Betty's this morning with her not quite even pigtails!
