Emoryisms

Emory never ceases to do or say something funny, sweet, or witty and sometimes she is just down right hilarious. I decided I needed to write a few of the things she has been doing down.

The other day Emory and I were in Hobby Lobby perusing the Christmas aisles when she started to sing (very loudly) “jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.” She then added her own verse to the song, “merry Christmas all the way, merry Christmas all the way.” She sang at the top of her lungs which drew quite the crowd. She sang for such a long time that I got a little embarrassed. She then spotted the nativity sets and  proceeded to tell everyone we passed that baby Jesus, his mommy and daddy were in their barn over there. I guess she has Christmas on the brain, because she chose to wear a Christmas outfit from last year today.

The other night just before her bath she asked her daddy if he wanted to build a tower (with her Lego's). When he told her he would build a tower with her after her bath, she looked at me and said, “daddy won’t build a tower with me, I guess I will have to build one ALL by myself,” which was code for I do not want to take a bath!
I walked into Emory's bathroom this morning and found this. Apparently she decided that the rug needed to be around her potty chair. If you are wondering what those spots are under and next to the lid of her potty chair, they are stickers from when she decorated it a while back.

I also discovered Emory's little spoons and spatulas for her "cooker" (kitchen) in the silverware draw the other day.

She loves to sing the Go Diego Go theme song, except she says Eggo instead of Diego!

A few phrases she is using on a regular basis these days:

“It looks like morning”
“It sure is..….”
"Do you wanna......"
“It’s okay buddy”

I of course had to include a picture of "buddy." Emory loves her little brother so much and gives him loves and kisses just because! So sweet.

Temper Temper

Last night a certain little boy pitched a big boy fit when he did not get his way. Cason managed to find a magazine tucked in between his exersaucer and the coffee table and of course he did not stop until it was in his mouth. He was all smiles until I took the magazine away. Then his smile turned into a temper tantrum that was his biggest to date. Reminded me of another little blue eyed blond hair Cobb that I know!

Saturday Morning Fun

This morning while I was feeding Cason his bottle Emory proceeded to drag anything and everything out of her room and into the living room. When I asked her what she was doing she told me she was camping. So after I finished feeding Cason, Emory and I built a tent for her to camp in. After the tent was built we had to put food out for the deer. Emory chose one of Cason's burp rags for the food. Then she told me to be quiet so the deer would not be scared. Such a MESS!

This is what I got when I asked her to look at me!

Later that morning while I was changing Cason's diaper and clothes I heard water running in their bathroom. When I asked Emory what she was doing she told me washing her hands. Then Emory came into Cason's room all upset because her Chip (Beauty & The Beast) was broken. Apparently she had filled Chip, who is a stuffed toy made of cloth, with water and was very upset that the water would not stay in Chip. So I put Cason in his crib and went to tend to Chip and the mess in the bathroom. When I came back to get Cason he was on his knees looking out over the rail of his crib. He apparently had pulled himself up and was just hanging out. I put him back down and ran and got the camera but he was too busy smiling to pull himself up again!

7 Months Old

Cason Bradley you are 7 months old today! You are wearing size 6-9 and 9 months clothes and a size 3 diaper. You have 3 teeth and are crawling everywhere. You crawled from the living room into the kitchen last night and were quite proud of yourself! You are eating baby food and puffs, which you love.

You are a happy baby and are always smiling. You get tickled so easily and have the cutest little laugh. You adore your big sister and your little face lights up whenever you see her. You take two good naps during the day and usually go to bed between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. You are still not sleeping through the night consistently and usually wake up once to eat.

We love you very much Cason!

Fall Festival

Last night we took the kids to a fall festival at a local church. Emory wanted to be a cowgirl this year for Halloween and Cason wore Noah's hand-me-down cow costume. Emory had a blast at the festival. She jumped in the bounce house, slid down the bounce house slide, played games, and played in the balloon room. The candy was a hit too! Cason enjoyed watching all the people. Tomorrow is their costume party at Ms. Betty's and Emory is already excited about wearing her cowgirl costume again!!!

My little cow and cowgirl!

Going down the slide in the bounce house!

Cason checking everything out!

The balloon room.
As you can see Emory was in awe of all the balloons.

She of course found a purple balloon.

My Little Mowing Princess Cowgirl

This evening Emory "mowed" the grass with her daddy, which basically consisted of them riding around on the lawn mower. She had to change out of her church clothes before going outside to play and chose her Dora princess dress and cowboy boots. She told us she wanted to be a princess, therefore only the Dora princess dress would do. She initially wanted to wear her wedding shoes, (recall the wedding dress post) but then decided on the cowboy boots when we told her wedding shoes were not play shoes. Such a mess!

This is a face of determination!

Making sure she was cutting the grass

Cason had fun drooling and playing with his toys while Daddy and Emory mowed!

I'm A Big Boy Now

It's official, Cason is on the move! Cason has graduated from scooting to scoot crawling/crawling and is liking his new found freedom. He is curious and quick! He is still not technically crawling, it is more like a scoot scoot crawl, scoot scoot crawl, but he can get around! Today he ventured from his bedroom into his bathroom and was making a bee line for the bathroom rug. He has discovered the magazines under the coffee table, which have found a new home, and just about every inch of the living room. I have a feeling he will be exploring every room in the house soon! Below are some pictures of Cason "on the move" in his bedroom this weekend.

He still likes to roll too!
