Emory's Report Card- 2nd Quarter

Emory brought home her report card yesterday and she continues to amaze me with how much she has learned. She is a little sponge and I hope she will always love learning!
The A for "all the time" still tickles me in the displays self confidence!

New Years Eve

We had a quiet New Years Eve. Yesterday afternoon Emory and Bradley went and bought some fireworks and then last night we went over to Mimi and Peepaw's to light them.
Cason with a sparkler! He was not afraid at all this year.
Emory watching the fireworks! I LOVE her expression!
Someone off in the distance was popping "big" fireworks so we watched their show for a little while.
 Emory with a sparkler!
Where's Cason?? He almost blends in with all his camo on!
One of our fireworks. The smoke was hanging around so I was not able to get any good pictures of the fireworks. After fireworks we played for a little while at Mimi and Peepaw's and then came home and got ready for bed. Today as been low key as well. Emory and I have played around 50 games of Disney Princess dominoes as well as several rounds of card games. We have just been lazy and played, which in my book is a great way to ring in the new year!

Lots & Lots of Fun

We have been very busy since Christmas and have had lots of fun!
Emory and I have completed several art projects!
 More of Emory's masterpieces!
Peepaw rented a BIG TRACTOR EXCAVATOR (as Cason calls it) and Bradley and the kids have been busy digging up stumps!
Digging up stumps results in big holes and dirt mountains, which have kept the kids busy!
Emory conquered this big dirt mountain!
Cason has been digging and hauling dirt in his new wheelbarrow!
Last Saturday Aunt Shirley and Alpie came over for a visit and brought more presents!
Emory got doll clothes and crayons and Cason a tractor puzzle and a tub of dinosaurs.
Watch out Alpie.....that dinosaur is about to get you!
We have also put the art easel to good use and have created ALOT of art work!
Emory has done a little entertaining too!

Christmas Night Hike

The kids both got lanterns, walkie-talkies, and flashlights from Santa and were eager to put them to use. So last night we went on a family hike.
We bundled up, got all our gear on and off we went!
Emory talking on her walkie-talkie. She was telling Bradley 10-4!
We walked to Mimi and Peepaw's and left them with a walkie-talkie so we could talk to them as we hiked!
The kids had a blast hiking but were worn out and ready for dinner and a warm bath!
We have had a wonderful Christmas this year and as always I am a little sad to see it go, but now it is time to get ready for a certain someone's 5th birthday!

Christmas 2013

Santa stopped by our house and left Emory and Cason many great things! Emory woke up about 6:30 Christmas morning and came running into our room saying that Santa left her an art easel. She said it was too dark to see what else but there was more stuff out there and she was ready to go see!
Cason spotted his new doctor kit first and immediately asked Bradley to open it and then once it was opened he gave him a shot!
Emory checking out her new flashlight. Our kids love flashlights! They each also got a lantern.
After the kids had checked all their goodies out from Santa we opened presents.
Cason used his new wheelbarrow to pass out presents.
Emory checking out her stocking!
WOW! Emory got Cason a new dump truck and bulldozer and Cason gave Emory a horse puzzle (see it behind him in the below picture)! Emory loves puzzles and horses!
The kids taking them for a run!
Cason also got a new tractor with a hay baler, a log truck, and a skidder! He has been one very busy little boy!! We spent the rest of the morning playing with everything and then headed over to Mimi and Peepaw's for lunch.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we went to the candle light service at church. Both the kids liked lighting the candles and singing and Emory enjoyed listening to the story of baby Jesus. After church we went to Mimi and Peepaw's to open presents.
The kids had fun opening their presents and received many nice things!
Cason got his is own wheelbarrow and when he realized what it was he shouted Awesome!
Here he is holding the handles!
 My silly goose!

Christmas Cookies

This morning we made cookies for Santa and us of course! Emory was super excited and did a fantastic job. Cason made a few cookies and then moved onto more important things like watching DORA!
 Emory watching the cookies bake!
After the cookies cooled it was time to decorate! Cason decided to join us again and both kids enjoyed decorating their cookies.

 Emory's first cookie...Rudolph the reindeer!
Cason did an excellent job decorating and eating icing!
A few of our cookies!
