Christmas Day

Santa Claus found our house again this year!
Christmas morning Cason came running into our room (Emory slept with us so she was already in there) shouting that Santa had been in the living room and that he had a digger! He was super excited!
Santa brought Emory a new bike, art supplies, necklace and earring holder, kinetic sand, pajama's and a few goodies in her stocking. Cason got a digger, art supplies, kinetic sand, Hungry Hippo, John Deere cup, and goodies in his stocking too! They also got a zipline to share!!
Cason jumped on his digger right away!
Emory and her new big girl bike. She was not too thrilled that Santa left the training wheels on because as she reminded us many times, "she DOES NOT need them!"
It did not take Cason long to figure how to use his digger.
Emory got a cool Barbie doll from Grandma where you design her outfits.
She loved her Elsa dress that we got her. She wore it all day!
The frozen pose!
She was giving me the frozen pose.
After we opened presents it was time to get cooking because we were hosting Christmas lunch this year.
My partially set table. As you can see I started setting the table then got sidetracked and forgot that I had only put silverware at one place setting. I didn't even notice it until just before we sat down to eat. I also forgot to take pictures of the other table...oops.
For dinner Bradley barbecued brisket, ribs, and pork. We also had a ham, "stick together mac-n-cheese, lima beans, pork-n-beans, and pasta salad. After lunch we played and played.
Cason playing with his playdough saw truck.
 He made a log!
 Moving all the logs!!
Emory working on a masterpiece. She drew the scene which is a horse in a pasture and then she painted it! She loves art.
Cason painted a picture too. His is more of an abstract piece!
Emory and Cason's first canvas paintings!
We have also played many games over the past two days. The kids each got several games for Christmas and we have enjoyed playing with them. So far we have played Rack-O, Super Pop-Up Pirate, Headbandz, Zingo, John Deere Domino's, Hungry Hippo, and Disney Pictionary.
Today they had a camp out in their new sleeping bags! Cason also slept in his on the floor last night. I think it is safe to say we have had a great Christmas. Thank you everyone for coming and being a part of it!

Christmas Eve

This Christmas Eve we had planned on going to the candle light service at church but did not get to because Emory woke up during the night with fever and we decided to not go just in case she was getting sick. So that evening I made lasagna and we just stayed in. The kids opened a few of their presents from Grandma and Pawpaw who came down that afternoon.
The first present of the night.
Both kids got Nerf guns and lots of ammo, which by the way hurts when hit.
They also each got two Digi birds. These little birds are pretty neat and sing songs in harmony with each other.

Santa Land 2014

Last night we went to Santa Land, which has become a family tradition. We got there about 4:45 and there were already about 100 cars in front of us, but they opened the gates about 5:45 and we were in by 6:00. The kids entertained themselves by playing outside, on the iPad, and singing songs.
This is what I got when I asked to take a picture. Emory posing and Cason being silly!
They had fun playing with Cason's umbrella.
Two thumbs up for Santa Land!!
 Dancing Christmas Trees
The toy soldiers
Cason liked the Merry Christmas truck!
Santa putting presents underneath the Christmas tree was new this year.
 Cason taking it all in!
 Entering Elf Land Texas
This monster truck was new this year too! It was BIG!
After Texas you enter the area where they tell the story of Jesus. I did not get pictures of everything but it starts with Mary and Joseph walking up to the inn and then ends with Jesus ascending into Heaven.
The manger
This is my favorite scene at Santa Land. I wish I could get a better picture but the lights reflect off the lake, plus the moving car does not help either. The figure on the right is Jesus carrying his cross.
This is another new scene this year.
After Santa Land we went and ate at Cracker Barrel and then headed home. The kids had fun again this year and love going!!

Christmas Numero Uno

Friday evening we celebrated Christmas at Mimi and Pawpaw's.
Three of the four cousins looking cute!
 My two sweeties!
Cason doing what he does best, being silly!
 Lincoln cheesing!
First present of the night.....Ready.. Set....Go!
 Mckenzie showing me her books!
Cason got a new guitar. He was super excited about it!
Emory and Mckenzie singing Let it Go with Mckenzie's new microphone.
Lincoln gave a performance of Let it Go too!
 Cason trying out his guitar.
Emory and Cason trying out Emory's new plasma car!
Cason and Lincoln each got harmonica's in their stockings from Mimi & Pawpaw. Looking at all these pictures it ended up being a very musical Christmas! They kids had a great time opening presents and playing with their new things.
