Kindergarten Graduation

Last night Emory had her Kindergarten graduation. She was super excited to get her diploma!
I tried to get a group shot but this was the best I could do!
She was not super excited to take a picture afterwards because she was STARVING!
Hence the out takes!
Oh so dramatic!

6 Going On 16

Over the weekend Emory decided that she could drive. It all started when she was on the 4-wheeler with her Daddy when they had to stop and open a gate. Bradley asked Emory if she could drive the 4-wheeler slowly through the gate and she did it with no problems! Ever since then she has been all about driving!

Emory's Kindergarten Journal

At the beginning of the school year Mrs. Smith gave all the kids a journal. Anytime during the day when they have down time, etc. the kids can get out their journals and write and draw whatever they want. The past two months or so Mrs. Smith has really been encouraging them to draw a picture and then write a few words about it. Emory LOVES her journal and was super excited when Mrs. Smith gave them a brand new one this week for the summer. I wanted to document a few of her entries.
Emory's very first entry.
The colors blue and red were her second and third.
I believe the one on the right is Johnny Appleseed.
 Groundhog Day!
I love her Dr. Seuss
Her Dot Dot made the journal three times I think!
This was after they went to Bugs, Butterfly's & Bees at SFA.
Dot Dot and her Hello Kitty blanket.
I loved reading through her journal and I love even more that she loves writing and drawing in one!

Mother's Day Weekend

Friday afternoon Emory's class sang all the songs they learned throughout the year to the parents. They sang patriotic songs, their state songs and the new and old testament. The kids also gave all the moms their Mother's Day presents. Emory made me a pretty flower pot and planted a marigold. She also made a card and gave me her school journal.
 Emory's card.
Cason also got me flowers. He made a flower at Mimi's and then decorated a flower pot at Ms. Betty's, He planted rosemary in his pot and I also got a pair of gloves.

Saturday morning we headed to Crockett to see Alpie, Aunt Shirley, and Aunt Linda. After lunch the kids wanted to feed the cows. I was able to capture Emory in mid throw!
Cason was a little nervous at first of all the hungry cows. So he sat back and took it all in.
We found a bunch of blackberries so we decided to stop and pick and eat a few.
Miss Priss giving me a little attitude. She loved the blackberries and me taking her picture was interfering with her eating them!
Emory picking away. We were not prepared to pick so she had to make do with an allergy mask. We had a great visit with everyone!

4th Quarter Progress Report

Last month Emory brought home her 4th Quarter Progress Report. I was super proud of her. She earned all Excellent's with a S+ in conduct!!

Field Day

Friday morning Emory had field day at school. I took the day off and took Cason. Field day did not start until 9 so Cason and I went to two garage sales after we dropped Emory off at school. Cason found this shovel which he said was just his size. He wheeled and dealed and picked it up for $2.00. He is super proud of it!
This is "work" face by the way!
Emory was on the grey team and they came in second overall. Here she is pulling with all her might while her "big sis" Hayli cheered her on. Hayli was the flower girl in our wedding and now she is taller then me!
They had to put on a "play" with only using toilet paper as a prop/costume. Emory's team did the birth of Jesus. She was an angel.
After several more games it was time for lunch.
Cason enjoying his hamburger!
Both Emory and Cason had a great time at field day.
