Yesterday Emory turned 9 months old. When I was pregnant 9 months felt like an eternity, but the past 9 months have sailed by very quickly and we will be celebrating Emory’s first birthday before I know it. Here is an update on what Emory is doing at 9 months.
She is still wearing size 3-6 months (we have gotten our money’s worth on those clothes); her winter 6-9 months clothes are big, but she has worn those a few times when it was chilly outside.
She is now wearing a size 3 diaper
She can say dada or daa (daddy) and doog (dog). She says what sounds like other words, but those two we know for sure what she is saying.
She loves to eat with her hands and is starting to want to hold the spoon herself, which makes for quite a mess.
She has tried the following “people” foods: avocados, bread, cheese, tomatoes, carrots, pancakes, and hash browns. She liked them all.
She pulls up on everything, can climb the stairs, and is walking while holding on to something. She is ALWAYS on the move.
She has figured out how to take down her mobile in her crib, so we had to remove it.
She loves to take a bath, but her new favorite thing to do during bath time is push down on the side of her duck tub and make the water go out, so we will probably be taking a bath in just the bath tub soon.
She has explored every room in the house and will crawl into different rooms when she feels like it.
She still does not like riding in her car seat (I hope this phase is ending soon).
She loves to play and give kisses and hugs. Her kisses and hugs are the best!
On the move!
Look Mom, one hand.
She climbs everything, including her toys!
Love the hands! She is holding a golf ball.... golf anyone?
October 15, 2009- 9 Months old
The bruise on her cheek and forehead are from an "I can stand all by myself accident" and an "I can walk really fast accident" from earlier in the week.
This is Emory throwing a fit because I took the camera away from her.
She got it down off the end table.
Telling me hi this morning!
