Saturday morning started off bright and early with both kids rearing and ready to go. Emory was in a dancing mood and no dance outfit is complete without a headband. Here she is getting on to me because I was disturbing her dancing.
Cason did a little shopping after breakfast. He loves pushing the shopping cart around.
And Emory continued to dance. Here she is dancing with Dot.
Cason perfected his golf game. He really is pretty good at swinging the club and hitting the ball.
All that dancing wore Emory out and she took a little break and watched a little Fresh Beat Band.
Cason had his first typing lesson which he found hilarious.
I promise Emory and Cason got dressed yesterday, but somehow I did not manage to get one picture with them in their clothes. Yesterday afternoon Emory went with Bradley and Peepaw to pickup hay while Cason and I played with the flashcards. I discovered his favored animal is a duck and he now knows how to quack!! Later that evening a storm blew in and we got a little over 4 inches of rain in about 1.5 hours. Glad for the rain but not thrilled with the ranging river that was flowing through the front yard. The storm knocked down a few large branches including one on the fence out by the road, as well as a few trees. Emory was not a fan and got a little scared by the wind and loud thunder.
We also lost electricity around 6:00 pm and it did not come back on until 2:00 am. UGH!
So we gave baths using lanterns and turned candles into night lights. I was very excited when the lights came back on because I was hot and not sleeping. I do not think I could have lived in Texas prior to electricity.
