Texas State Aquarium

Today was our first full day in Corpus Christi and we went to the Texas State Aquarium. They had fish, turtles, and all sorts of sea creatures. Plus a dolphin show and splash park! The kids had a blast! As you can see in the picture below Cason is in his boots. He loves his boots, he even wore them when we walked on the beach yesterday evening. I did not have my good camera but was able to capture memories with my camera phone!
Cason liked the BIG SHARK!
We found Nemo!
Emory loved the dolphin show!
Cason did take off his boots to play at the splash park!

The Dump Truck

A few weeks ago Peepaw bought a new to him dump truck or as Cason says a BIG DUMP TRUCK! Cason is in LOVE with it. He loves going for rides around the farm in it.
Emory and Cason driving the dump truck. Do you see Cason's hat? He is all about wearing one of his  cowboy hats and his boots right now. He wears his boots with everything, even shorts. I fully expect him to wear them at the beach when we go.
Some of Mimi's chickens. A few have started laying eggs already and Emory has been collecting them. She is an excellent egg finder!
Bradley had my camera and took this lovely photo of the three of us in the truck. We look thrilled!

The Weekend

Last Friday we met my parents in Shreveport to pick up the kids. They spent last week with Grandma, Pawpaw and Maddie. They had a blast but I missed them terribly and was ready for Emory and Cason hugs and kisses. I was able to get a few from Miss Maddie too! This weekend was pretty laid back. The kids recuperated from their trip and I washed clothes and organized the newly remodeled office. I think we only left the house to get ice cream and go to church! I only took a few cell pictures including this one of Emory being silly!
This just makes me laugh!
Mimi had presents for Emory and Cason when they got home. Cason a new tractor and Emory a baton. Emory asked me to get my old batons out of the attic so we could twirl together, so Sunday after church I headed up and found all my old batons. I also found all my old cabbage patch dolls which I had forgotten were up there. Needless to say Emory had a blast twirling and playing with the  dolls. Cason had fun using the batons as swords! We had a great weekend and now we are busy getting ready for our upcoming trip to the beach!

4 1/2 Years Old

Emory Grace you are 4 1/2 years old today!
You weigh 33.5 lbs and wear a size 4t and size 9 shoe. You are very independent and for the most part get dressed all by yourself in the morning (mommy still has to fix your hair). You love to help me cook and help Daddy fix things.
You love horses, chocolate ice cream, coloring, jewelry, sparkly nail polish, dressing up, stick together mac-n-cheese (also known as homemade), and playing outside. You are full of personality and spunk.
You will be starting Pre-K in August and are very excited about going to school and getting to carry a lunch box.
You are silly, witty and an absolute mess! You love to entertain and put on your shows, which usually involve you singing and dancing on the fireplace. You also like to show off your karate moves!
Climbing the steps of the Rusk building at SFA. I don't know why but I absolutely love this picture!
You are a wonderful big sister and love your little brother so. You are kind, caring and an absolute delight. You are still stubborn and are not a fan of not getting your way, but you are learning.

A very serious "Vanna White" pose!

Emory, I love you to the moon, stars, Africa, and the ocean and back! (This is what you always tell me and I you)

Sibling Love

They love each other so!

Pizzeria

Saturday while grocery shopping we decided to make pizza's for lunch. Emory picked out the ingredients we would need and Cason put them in the buggy!  Emory did an excellent job with her pizza. She choose to make a cheese pizza which is her new favorite!
Cason did not care much about making a pizza other then the big bite he took out of the dough during prep time! He had fun playing hide-n-seek though!
I forgot to take a picture of the finished pizza's but they turned out great and Emory is already wanting to make more!

Surgery, Bugs, & Memories

Last Monday we headed to Austin to see little Lincoln before his open heart surgery on Tuesday. I am so thankful Lincoln's surgery went well and he was able to go home Saturday. He is not only adorable but strong!
Emory found this lovely pair of sunglasses at Dell Children's. Here she is giving me her serious look. Bradley said she looked like the terminator!
Photo: Emorynator...I'll be back!
We got home Wednesday only to be hit with a nasty stomach bug on Thursday. It hit Cason first with Emory following not far behind. By Friday I was sick as a dog and Bradley followed up the rear. It was not a pretty few days in our house, but by Monday we were all feeling much better.

Sunday Cason helped Bradley on the backhoe Peepaw rented to remove the hundreds of stumps we now have from where the trees were cleared. Bradley had brought it up to the house to remove a few stumps we had in our yard. Cason had a blasts. He loves BIG TRACTORS as he calls them! He also loves fire trucks, dump trucks and log trucks.
Madison had her 6 month pictures made earlier this week and Blake posted a few on facebook. She wore a little dress that was Emory's in some of the pictures and it brought back memories of when Emory was a baby. I have been busy buying Emory's uniforms for school all the while thinking I can't believe she is starting school in August so I was in need of a good reminiscing session!

For those that are not on facebook here are a few more of Maddie. She is so stinking cute!
