School & Art Work

Some of Emory's recent school work.
They learned about Christopher Columbus and Emory drew the Nina, Pinta & Santa Maria.
Her class is continuing to learn the states. I thought it was funny the way she underlined the information for Hawaii. I think she may have inherited my need to underline and highlight.
She drew an owl last week and a black cat this week in art class. She really seems to enjoy drawing and I think she is pretty good at it!
She is also into drawing castles. This one has a mote!

Pineywoods Fair 2014

The fair was this past week and the kids had a great time. Wednesday night we rode rides with Mckenzie and Lincoln, Thursday Emory participated in her first Pee Wee Showmanship, and Friday we rode more rides and helped Daddy take pictures of  the Ag Mechanics Projects for the Douglass newsletter. Douglass got sweepstakes for the 2nd year in a row and won both the woodworking and lawn and garden divisions.
Lincoln riding the merry-go-round.
Cason, Mckenzie, Emory and her friend Raylee riding the car ride.

Showing her pig. She did a great job!!!
 Emory "won" a trophy.
Riding the roller coaster again. She was super excited to sit in the front.
Cason did not want to ride rides on Friday. He wanted to check on the pigs instead.
Little Miss Fearless. She loved this. When she got off she said that was so AWESOME, I loved it!!

Emory in the mirror maze. She said it was super tricky.
Cason checking out the chickens, I think or maybe ducks at the petty zoo. I can't remember or tell. He was telling me he did not want his picture taken.

3 1/2 Years Old

Cason you turned 3 1/2 years old yesterday!
You are such a funny little boy with the most infectious laugh. You are also set in your ways and like things a certain way. You love tractors, trucks (all kinds), backhoes and tools. You love working outside and helping Daddy build things. You know your colors, numbers, and shapes and can both say them and recognize them. You are working on recognizing your letters.
You are wearing 2t-3t clothes and a size 8 shoe. You are a good eater and eat all the time. You love baked potatoes, gummies, cereal bars, strawberries, grapes, and lasagna or any other pasta dish involving meat, noodles, and cheese! You are a thinker and are always asking questions and wanting to know why or how. You are also very caring and still let me love on you like a little baby, just as long as I don't refer to you as a baby! I can't believe you will be 4 years old soon. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital. We love you Cason Bradley!

Random Pictures

September has been a busy month, so I thought I would share some random pictures from our busy September.
Cason  giving me a thumbs up!
Emory and I were playing Pictionary last weekend and Emory drew this. I of course guessed watermelon. I think she did a great job!
A few Saturday's ago Emory had three birthday parties all at the same time. We managed to make two of them. Jackson's birthday theme was Mario Brothers and his mom made chocolate mustaches!
Emory at her friend Emberlyn's butterfly themed party! She had a great time at both parties but was worn out by the time we got home.
Cason insisted on keeping his boots on his bed at the beginning of the month. He has since decided his closet is a better spot for his boots!
Emory giving me her best butterfly pose one night before bed!

Yearbook and School Work

This past week Emory came home with her very first yearbook!
The had a yearbook signing party one afternoon last week. I got tickled because Emory signed her own yearbook! She loves signing her name. Her classmates from Pre-K and some of her classmates from this year as well as a few of her older friends all signed. (She has a little boy in her class named Cason for those that are wondering)
 Emory's Pre-K Class
Emory has been busy reviewing things from last year and learning new things in Kindergarten.
They have started learning about the different states they also have a show and tell every Wednesday.
Emory drew this picture of a fox she named Birdie in art class.
I know I am partial but I think she did a fantastic job!
Emory class just finished learning the creation story.
 One of Emory's homework papers.
Emory brings home a "homework" paper and if they do it and return it the next day they get a sticker.

Labor Day Weekend

Friday afternoon the kids and I headed to Arkansas to celebrate Dad and Noah's birthday. We drove over to West Monroe on Saturday and went by Duck Commander. Emory likes the show and has been wanting to go. We then went to lunch at Willie Duck Diner and then onto Excalibur to play games. Noah, Emory and Cason racked up 1180 tickets and had a blasts playing games.

We got back to mom and dad's that evening and grilled hamburgers and then had cupcakes and cookies!
Maddie enjoying her cupcake and Cason telling me NO! He did not want his picture taken.
The next morning the kids played outside in the pool and with the water guns.
 Cason swimming
 Noah getting Emory!
She got him back right in the face!
Miss Priss!
I attempted a group shot. Here are a few of the better ones!
Emory Grace (5.5), Madison Marie (almost 2), Cason Bradley (3), and Noah James (almost 12)
Cason was giving me a BIG CHEESE!
Maddie had fun playing with the water hose.
She chased her big brother with it a few times giggling all the way!

Baby Chicks

Last week the kids went with Bradley to the chicken pick up for those showing chickens at the fair next month and came home with a surprise (also known as) as 10 new chicks. Apparently there were extras!
Emory and the new chicks!
Cason watching the chicks while sucking his thumb!
Mimi has 3 chickens and all 10 of these are still with us, so we are up to 13 chickens total!
