First Day of School
Today was the first day of school, Cason started 2nd grade and Emory 4th. They were both up bright and early and eager to go. I even came out of my bedroom and found Cason sitting on the bench with his sign waiting to take his picture! I didn't even have to ask!!
I pray this is a year of maturing for him and that he stays out of the principles office. He is quite the class clown and talker!
I pray she learns not to be so hard on herself this year when it comes to her school work and that it is okay to make a B. .
Someone was a little sleepy this morning.
Eli insisted on getting paper too when we went to Hobby Lobby and picked out a Mickey Mouse one. His says: 2 Years Old & I Know Everything!
This picture makes me laugh. Those two are two peas in a pod.
To cool for school!
She was so happy to be back at school! She loves learning so much.
Cason's class took a picture with the sign! I of course was turned down when I asked two certain Cobb's to take one.

Discovery Science Place
Last week while Maddie was visiting, I took the kids to the Discovery Science Place in Tyler. They all had a blast. We could have stayed all day because there was so much to do, but we had to meet Uncle Blake in Lindale that same afternoon.
They had a little dinosaur exhibit this summer and the kids had a good time looking at the dinosaurs and doing the activities.
The T-Rex's were a huge hit!
They had a fossil dig pit, so of course that is where Eli spent his time!
He dug and dug and found all the fossils!
After the dinosaur exhibit we headed back over to the Science Discovery building.
Calling Dr. Cobb. This was his serious doctor face.
This is his pooping face, because the baby pooped and it was stinky! Have I mentioned Cason is a MESS!
Dr. Eli refused to wear a coat, but he took care of the babies too! He wanted to take a baby for a ride.
Judge Maddie is ready for court!
Next we checked out the NASA room.
Eli in the cave!
Captain Maddie steering the ship.
Wind Tunnel Fun!
Cason loved the control booth. He directed a cooking show!!
There was so much to do. The kids did experiments, climbed a rock wall, felt an earthquake, built things and had a blast! I think we will be going back.

Summer Fun
Summer is flying by quickly and school will be starting in just a few short weeks. We have had a busy summer, which started off with VBS.
We were shipped wreck this year at VBS and the kids had a blast!
Eli rotated to different groups this year at VBS (not as many as the big kids) and he did a great job! I think art was his favorite. One day he insisted on eating lunch with the sheep he made!!
We have a goat (Snickerdoodle), a heifer (Sharlene), and a steer (Samson), so we have been busy at the barn this summer. Emory has been our chauffeur.
We took the goat and heifer to a prospect show in June. Snickerdoodle placed 3rd in its class and Sharlene won her class and made it to the champion drive. Emory says the judge told her she was 3rd overall in the exotic. There were probably between 20 to 30 in the group so she did a great job!
Emory did a little Hobby Lobby sale shopping with her birthday gift card!
Watching fireworks 4th of July!
Firework picture by Cason
We visited Pawpaw and did a little double decker carousel riding!
We have spent quite a few days at the pool too!
