Christmas Parade

Saturday evening our Sunday school class had a mini cookout in the parking lot before the Christmas parade. After we ate we headed downtown to wait for the parade to start.
Emory waiting for the parade to start while relaxing in her chair.
Emory and Andi Beth being silly.
 I like Rudolph the ambulance.
This float was pretty. They even had smoke coming out of the chimney.
This was Emory's favorite float because it shot out bubbles.
Bubbles were everywhere after it went by us and it looked like it was snowing. Emory loved it!
Another Rudolph but this one was pulling a sled.
The sled.
I can't remember whose float this was but they used A LOT of lights. It was really pretty.
And my sweet Cason. Don't let this picture fool you. He did not sit for long during the parade because he wanted to be in the parade. He spent most of the night telling Bradley "DOWN DOWN" and fussing. Emory had a great time watching the parade. She told me it was the best parade she has ever been too. I think she said the same thing last year too!

Trip To The Tree Farm

Saturday we went to the Christmas tree farm to pick out our Christmas tree.
Cason had a great time running around and looking at all the Christmas trees.
I thought they were cute carrying the measuring pole together so I had to take a picture of course!
This is the tree we chose. It is a little over 10 feet tall.
Cason and Emory watching Daddy cut it down.
And Voila!
It took me most of the day to decorate the tree. Emory and Cason helped too with just 4 broken ornaments or balls as Cason called them.
It is really starting to look a lot like Christmas in the Cobb house. Now if the weather would just cooperate and it felt like Christmas outside!

Matching PJ's

We broke out the Christmas pajama's tonight and the kids have a few pairs that match this year, so I thought I would try and take a picture of them in their matching pj's. Easier said then done. I did manage to get a few pictures with them both semi smiling and looking at the camera.
And then there are the out takes. Keep in mind this is only a few of many.
This one just makes me laugh because it captures them to a T. Emory being a drama queen and Cason with the giggles!
We are going to cut our Christmas tree this weekend so hopefully I can get a cute picture of them in their Christmas pj's in front of the tree.

20 Months

Cason Bradley you are 20 months old today!
You are wearing a size 18 month, a size 6 shoe, and a size 5 diaper. Your vocabulary continues to grow and you added the following words this month: chicken, sissy, spoon, phone, ow, chip, outside, sock, Pawpaw, sausage, trash, tiger, hammer, right there, I see that, tractor, and hi dog.
You LOVE to read books. You will bring me a book and climb up in my lap and say "book mama, book."  Your farm books are your favorites because you like to make all the animal sounds. Ducks are still your favorite animal but moo cows are a close second.
You have the most infectious laugh which I just adore. You are such a happy little guy and love to make us laugh!
You are also a smart little cookie and excellent problem solver. When I would not put you in the shopping cart last night, you went and got your chair and used it to climb in. You are a very determined and strong willed little boy. You hate to not get your way and can throw quite the fit when you disagree with me or Dad. You are also very loving and sweet. I love it when you throw your arms around my neck and give me one of your great hugs. You are such a joy and we love you very much Cason.

It's Beginning To Look Like Christmas

We put up the Christmas lights this weekend. Both Emory and Cason helped and we all had a great time. Emory thinks they are beautiful and Cason likes the deer. We are still planning to add
lights along the driveway. Hopefully that will get completed next weekend.
Cason loves these deer which I found last year after Christmas marked way down!
This is what the cross/star looks like up close. Bradley made it several years ago and I still think it looks like a star and he a cross. Either way it works!

Campfire Fun

The weekend before Thanksgiving we went to a birthday party for one of Emory's friends. We were unable to go on the hayride because it was getting late so Bradley told Emory that he would take her on a hayride another time. Yesterday morning Bradley asked Emory if she wanted to go on a hayride that evening. She of course did and decided that we needed to have a campfire and roast wienies because that is what we did at Andi Beth's birthday party.
Bradley took the kids on a wagon ride while our campfire got going.
Our "campfire"
Emory was super excited!!
She invited Mimi and Peepaw to come and insisted on breaking out her and Cason's outside chairs.
Cason was excited too!
I told Emory a story about how Aunt Cameron called all the coyote's once when we were little and  showed her how to call them. Needless to say she got a little scared. She was afraid the coyote's were going to come and eat our hot dogs. She told me not to call them anymore. We roasted wienie's and marshmallows and made smores. After we ate we loaded up and went on a hayride.
I managed to get one picture on the hayride. It was dark and the camera flash was bright so every time I tried to take a picture they would look away. The kids had a blast and I enjoyed watching them have fun! I think this was the first of many "campfires" to come!

Winter Fun

This morning after it warmed up a little I decided to take the kids up to the Azalea Garden at SFA. It was such a beautiful day and I thought the kids would enjoy running around the trails. I of course took my camera but my expectations of getting any good shots were low because it was just me and the kids.
This was one of many attempts of getting a picture with both of them looking at me, which did not happen today.
A dog caught his attention.
My silly little goose!
My sweet little boy!
This pose cracks me up. It screams Emory!!!!
Since campus was empty we walked around and played on this wall, aka a balance beam.
Love this grin. He was coming to give me a hug!
She is such a mess!
Cason met a squirrel and spent a good part of the time trying to catch it.
Emory had a ball throwing leaves into the air!
Ring around the lamp pole!
