Back to Tummy

Last night Emory was lying on our bed having just had her nosed sucked out (runny nose) and she DID IT! She rolled over from back to tummy! I of course had just walked out of the room, but Bradley saw the first back to tummy roll. So I ran and got the camera and took a couple shots of her just afterwards. I then put her on her back hoping she do it again and she did! Emory first rolled over tummy to back a month or so ago and has been working on back to tummy for a week, but kept getting stuck on her side. I am not quite sure how she feels about her new skill, but she smiled when Bradley and I cheered for her afterwards.

This was right after she rolled over the first time! I love
the face!

Emory Having Fun

Sunday afternoon Emory and I were sitting on the couch watching TV and I looked around and just started to laugh. My living room is filled to the brim with books, toys, a swing, a bouncy, a saucer, etc. For such a small little thing she sure does have a lot of stuff but it is all worth it because they make Emory happy and her smile is priceless. In the last week or so Emory has really started to “play” and hold interest with her toys and books. She also has started “talking” more. She talks to people, toys, herself, the TV and it is so cute! So far we have made out the following words hi and aqui, yes my little girl can speak Spanish! I have also decided that she is officially teething. I think she started a week or two ago, but I feel that she is now going full speed ahead… and boy can she drool. Thank goodness we have a closet full of clothes! Emory will be 14 weeks old Thursday and is growing up so fast, but it is exciting watching her experience new things!
I like to swing sitting up like a big girl now!
I love my little butterfly toy and to drool! Mommy had to take my clothes off because I drooled
all over them!
Just Swinging!
She loves her saucer! The barn (with the blue roof) plays music and flashes lights. She watched it until it stopped, then looked at me like where did they go! Once I started it again
she went back to watching it. We did this for a good 10 minutes.

Emory's First Easter

Sunday morning we took Emory to church for the first time, however she slept through the entire service and the loud thunderstorm that was taking place outside. After church we hopped in the car and drove to her great grandmother Alpie’s house in Crockett. Emory slept the entire way there and was nice and rested when we arrived. Once we arrived Emory woke up and checked out her Easter presents from her Grandma, PawPaw, and Aunt Cameron. Noah tore into his present from Bradley, Emory and I. Noah loves presents, especially Lego’s! We then checked out a bag full of books from Great Aunt Shirley, thank you, Aunt Shirley! After dinner Noah and Emory hunted Easter Eggs! Emory was a good little girl and handled all the excitement very well.

Easter Egg Hunt

Yesterday Emory experienced her first Easter Egg Hunt and came home with goodies from Ms. Betty's. Ms. Betty said that Emory really enjoyed watching the older kids hunt eggs and the older kids enjoyed sharing their finds with Emory. She came home with a little Easter basket filled with eggs, candy, and a stuffed bunny. Emory cooed and laughed at the bunny and I am sure Bradley will enjoy all the candy!

The Weekend

Our weekend was pretty uneventful. Saturday I had to work for a few hours, so Emory visited with her Mimi and PeePaw while Bradley worked on the new house. Sunday Emory and I went grocery shopping and then just hung out around the house while I tried to clean it. She was not feeling well so I did not accomplish much with getting the house clean. Emory did have a few FIRSTS this weekend. She tasted prune juice (having tummy issues), which I am not quite sure she liked. She also sat in her Bumbo chair, which she loved and discovered her feet. It is so funny watching her discover new things. She gets so excited with herself and just coos and laughs! Too cute! She also can roll over (tummy to back) really well now and I was able to capture a few rolls on camera.
