It's Beginning To Look Like Christmas

We put up the Christmas lights this weekend. Both Emory and Cason helped and we all had a great time. Emory thinks they are beautiful and Cason likes the deer. We are still planning to add
lights along the driveway. Hopefully that will get completed next weekend.
Cason loves these deer which I found last year after Christmas marked way down!
This is what the cross/star looks like up close. Bradley made it several years ago and I still think it looks like a star and he a cross. Either way it works!

Campfire Fun

The weekend before Thanksgiving we went to a birthday party for one of Emory's friends. We were unable to go on the hayride because it was getting late so Bradley told Emory that he would take her on a hayride another time. Yesterday morning Bradley asked Emory if she wanted to go on a hayride that evening. She of course did and decided that we needed to have a campfire and roast wienies because that is what we did at Andi Beth's birthday party.
Bradley took the kids on a wagon ride while our campfire got going.
Our "campfire"
Emory was super excited!!
She invited Mimi and Peepaw to come and insisted on breaking out her and Cason's outside chairs.
Cason was excited too!
I told Emory a story about how Aunt Cameron called all the coyote's once when we were little and  showed her how to call them. Needless to say she got a little scared. She was afraid the coyote's were going to come and eat our hot dogs. She told me not to call them anymore. We roasted wienie's and marshmallows and made smores. After we ate we loaded up and went on a hayride.
I managed to get one picture on the hayride. It was dark and the camera flash was bright so every time I tried to take a picture they would look away. The kids had a blast and I enjoyed watching them have fun! I think this was the first of many "campfires" to come!

Winter Fun

This morning after it warmed up a little I decided to take the kids up to the Azalea Garden at SFA. It was such a beautiful day and I thought the kids would enjoy running around the trails. I of course took my camera but my expectations of getting any good shots were low because it was just me and the kids.
This was one of many attempts of getting a picture with both of them looking at me, which did not happen today.
A dog caught his attention.
My silly little goose!
My sweet little boy!
This pose cracks me up. It screams Emory!!!!
Since campus was empty we walked around and played on this wall, aka a balance beam.
Love this grin. He was coming to give me a hug!
She is such a mess!
Cason met a squirrel and spent a good part of the time trying to catch it.
Emory had a ball throwing leaves into the air!
Ring around the lamp pole!

Gingerbread House

Emory has been asking to make a gingerbread house for several weeks now so when we found a kit on sale yesterday I decided to let her give it a whirl!
She had a great time helping me make the icing (she loves to use the hand mixer) and decorating the gingerbread house. Cason had a great time eating the icing and candy!
Decorating the back wall.
She told me she wanted to make it very colorful and that she did!
Emory's first gingerbread house!

Thanksgiving Day

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year due to some last minute change of plans courtesy of Cameron's doctor telling her the Monday before Thanksgiving that he did not want her traveling. (I think Miss Madison is going to make her debut early). So instead of going to mom and dad's they came here. Since it was just us Bradley decided to fry a turkey for the first time which was delicious! We had a nice meal but I forgot to take pictures. Truth be told I did not even get out of my sweatpants or the kids out of their pj's. It was a laid back Thanksgiving but a nice one. We had a great time visiting with Grandma and Pawpaw who headed north to Cameron and Blake's Friday. After mom and dad left we did a little Black Friday shopping which Emory loved. That child loves to shop and to find a good sale!
Since I took zero pictures of Thanksgiving I thought I would share a pretty fall picture from the Azalea Garden.

Thanksgiving

Yesterday we had Thanksgiving with Bradley's side of the family at his parents house. I did not take as many pictures as I planned due to cooking, not feeling all that great, and my camera dying. I did manage to capture a few memories though.

We had a full house this year, 19 in all, so before dinner Rachel, Andrew, and I took all the kids outside to play.

Miss Mckenzie
Emory was too busy digging in the dirt and chasing butterflies to stop and get her picture taken. That small figure digging in the dirt behind Mckenzie is the best I could do! We had a nice and yummy dinner with all the fixin's. After dinner it was time for naps, me included. After naps Emory and Cason had a birthday party to attend so we loaded up and headed to Andi Beth's birthday party. The kids had a blast at the party!

After the party we headed back to Mimi's and Peepaw's.
Alice, Emory, and Cason decided to all sit on Uncle Andrew.

Cason and Peepaw did a little reading.

Bradley and Cason went and watched Emory's gymnastic class the other day and ever since Cason has been perfecting his forward roll. He almost has it down. He has practiced and practiced all weekend. I had to include this picture of him. He had his balloon tied to his belt loop, but that did not stop him from rolling!

We had a great weekend visiting with family and celebrating Thanksgiving!

Emory Seuss

Last night Emory came out with one of her hats on and said, "Do you like my hat?" She then added hat after hat each time asking me if I liked her hat. Finally after she had the last hat on she goes, "Mom do you like my hat, do you like my party hat?"
